Is there such a thing? I love the fact of wanting to explore and going to clubs with sexual explorative people. But that is pretty much all I want...the atmosphere....the open sexuality. I have no desire to be with another man nor my partner with another woman. But we love fantasizing about being in an atmosphere to watch others and be watched by others. I say there is nothing wrong with going and keeping it "soft" whereas my partner feels others will expect more if we put ourselves in a place like this and it won't be acceptable to not participate and insulting to the more sexually open couples. Am I being naive to think our exclusiveness would be acceptable?

Met a few couples like that.

We sometimes go to a party to be just with each other that way and we tell people it's our night together.

Just tell people all you want is watch/be watched...no touching. Unless a party says they do not want that, you should be good.

If the both of you are making each other happy, then there's nothing to worry about being acceptable to others.

Just be with each other in opinion and mindset, that you don't want to full swap. Others will find out by asking politely and you'll have to assert that no play with others will happen.

Thank you for the input.....that there is no pressure and its not uncommon for others to go but be alone is good to hear. Very true on the point that we should not worry about being acceptable to others. What we find is acceptable to US is all that matters....

What are you describing is not at all uncommon. It would be considered (very) soft swinging. The most important thing is to just be clear about what it is you want when you talk with others, especially when you are at clubs, as to not lead anyone on.
