We are also new to this and want a good place to start. A lot of people say to checkout clubs... we are not really the clubin kind of people so is there alternatives? What is out there to help us get started nice and slow?

DE, As others have told you, clubs are a good option. However, if you two are interested in that, there are other options. You can join SwingLifestyle and search for Meet-n-greets in your area. House parties. that type of event. You can also search Swinger's sites for other couples and singles in your local area and contact them directly. S |

We agree with dodgechevy. We find that meet n greets are a great way to get introduced to how to conduct yourselves with your particular group. Just don't be shy. Often, no one will take you around by the hand to meet everyone. Many times there is an "after-party". Rarely in participation required at these things. If it is, they will tell you in advance. But once you go to the house party you will see folks just sitting/standing around shooting the bull like any other party you may have attended. But at this one, some people pair off (sometimes 3, 4 or more-off) and go to a bedroom. 1. Just ask before you do anything to someone else (touching/tongueing) unless you KNOW it is okay. 2. Parties in our area the rule is an open door means come on in. Enjoy the show. A closed door means privacy please, we don't want an audience. Clubs are okay but we prefer to play at house parties. |

Meet & Greets occur in a variety of locations, from local bars to restaurants to sometimes even parks. We have occasionally hosted a local dinner M&G where we just go to a local restaurant for dinner with 10 or so other couples. The other main option for meeting people (if you don't want to do any sort of group function) is to go with personal ads (posting your own and answering others) - it's a lot more work and takes a lot more time, but for some it works better. May I ask why you don't want to visit a club? do you not like clubs (night clubs/bars) in general? Or is it something about swinger clubs that worries you? |

Meet and greets are probably the best alternative aside from clubs.

We actually find its fun to connect on websites such as Swing Lifestyle, then go out to a club to dance and chat. It's a fun flirty way to socialize in a vanilla setting. You also get to see how the other couple acts in public. Sorry, if you don't have a bit of social graces, then we aren't going to work. While meet and greets are fun, I find that people aren't always their true selves at them. I have friends who are so worried about being discrete that when they go to socials/meet & greets they act one way and any other club they act another. Be who you are, that's what we like. |
