We made the jump, joined Swing Lifestyle! Is it worth paying the membership?

Joined Swing Lifestyle yesterday, went in as a free member. Question, is it worth it to be a paid member? Sure seems like there's alot you can't do as a free member. We started getting some mail, one nice sounding couple wrote us and attached pictures to the mail (which we can't open cause we're free members), we also can't open most of everyones photos. Assume there's probably other things we can't do to. Thinking about paying up!

Question # 2, did we join the right site? We live in South Florida and I have heard that sites can be specific to certain areas, is Swing Lifestyle a good one down here? Heard something about PlayfulSwingers being the one for Florida?

Last Question, are swinger sites even worth it, seems we've heard alot of bad comments about them? Tons of fakes and such.

I believe Swing Lifestyle is fairly popular in Florida. You can try paying for a short period and see if it's to your liking. We bought the Lifetime membership a long time ago, so I'm not sure what their rates are now, but they used to be very reasonable.

Playful Swingers is very popular in Florida. That may be the better option for you. I'm sure some Floridians would be able to tell you if one is better than the other in the Sunshine State.

Swinger Sites can be a very useful tool for meeting couples. There are issues occasionally, which I'm sure you'll read about on here. It just depends on your preferences. Swing Lifestyle got us started in the lifestyle, but the swing clubs keep us in the lifestyle.

Welcome to the Swing Lifestyle site and this one. Yes you made the right choice. A little suggestion. Become a lifetime member. For $100.00 you become a lifetime member and you can forget about paying anymore money. The benefits are severs. You can view as many profiles as you want at a sitting. You can review and approve new profile as they become new members and you get to approve new pictures. Some are terrific. Lastly, people take you more seriously if you are a paying member than a free member. Free members are regarded as not being serious. You will not be disappointed if you join. Good luck

Yes, you made a good choice. Can't speak to Florida, but here in our part of the Southeast, Swing Lifestyle very popular. A paid membership will probably be worth it to you, fairly reasonable with different options and with all of them you get a lot more functionality.

Sure, there are fakes on Swing Lifestyle, but plenty of real swingers too. We prefer swinging at clubs vs the meet online then dinner/drinks route, but we have met some compatible couples going the online route. Maybe we've just been lucky, but so far no fakes that we actually wasted any time on - not too hard to weed them out, and I think how you write your profile has a lot to do with what kind of contacts you get, and we shoot for quality over quantity.

Even if your preferences evolve into clubs/parties primarily, Swing Lifestyle still a good method for keeping up with what is going on and staying in touch with people you meet at clubs, etc.

Once you are a lifetime member, you get to notices at the top of the home page. One tells you how many new profiles are awaiting approval. The other tells you how many new pictures are awaiting approval. With pictures you have to choose what type of pictures you want to approve, public or private. That choice is permenant. If you choose to do that, you need to read their guidelines for this.

I would also add that for many sites, we give take paying members more seriously. It shows a bit more commitment. Free members seem to be mostly lurking hubby's trying to "convince" their wives, single males, etc. If you aren't sure you want to take the leap for the lifetime membership (which is a great deal btw), sign up for a 3 or 6 month membership and take it for a test drive.

We joined as newbies....then paid for it monthly and decided why pay alot more monthly instead of lifetime. I am glad we did...

Swing Lifestyle has been a good site for us, but as others have noted if you're serious about using it you really need to become a paid member. If nothing else, it shows some commitment to the LifeStyle. We also belong to APG, for which there is no free membership and we've found there are a lot less fakers and "drive bys" due to the payment requirement.

Swing Lifestyle is run out of FL, so you will probably find it a good one for your area. That said, I think about 75% of the most popular swinger personal ads sites were launched in FL, so you are in a good area (in that regard).

As for paying, that's something you have to decide. If you are seeing good contacts and seeing things that you are missing and want to have access to then it's probably worth joining. It's when you don't notice what you are missing out on that you will probably find it's not worth it to pay up.

Yes Swing Lifestyle works... We know a couple in fl who uses it. To be honest most couples use more than one site.. usually 3 to 5 we have found. Yes there is a lot of repeats on some of the sites but in a way it helps us choose..


As to paying.. yes we paid. glad we did... we don't pay anywhere else.. go figure.. ps does not work well in va but we did try it....

We've been lifetime members of Swing Lifestyle for about 4 years now, and are very happy with it. We have no limits or restrictions, and as lifetime members we can approve new profiles and photos. We've met several very good lifestyle friends through Swing Lifestyle, and have no regrets over spending the money to become lifetime members.

Truth be told, if other sites offered a lifetime membership, we'd probably sign up on them as well. We've tried other sites, and have dropped them all because they don't offer lifetime memberships.

We are lifetime members on three sites, including Swing Lifestyle, and free members on about a half dozen others. Swing Lifestyle (Swinglifstyle) is by far the best of those we are members of.

I think the earlier advice to try a paid subscription to the site before you shell out the cash to become a lifetime member is sound. I mean, you might not like the site, and it would be better to discover that before you spend the money.

Not trying to dissuade you - just throwing in my 2 cents (before taxes, of course...)
