Can't Stop Wondering if others are swingers

I'm sure this subject has been brought up before, but since finding this board and seriously considering joining the lifestyle, I find myself looking at people differently. While I was at the store the other day I found myself looking around at other couples and thinking "I wonder if they've ever considered swinging?"

Does this morbid curiosity ever go away? Will I ever be able to look at another couple again and not wonder if they've considered or tried it?

I think that curiosity hangs around for quite a while,,,, and when she's really cute, it morphs into wishful thinking......

Oh... it can surely stay with you a long time. I find myself picking up on every possible double entendre and thinking... "I wonder if..."

Conversely.. as discreet as I think I'm being, I've run across people who have picked up things that I've said and figured out that I lead a somewhat alternative lifestyle. Not a lot of people... maybe three in three years... but there are intuitive and observant people out there who'll probably wonder about you!

Every time that one of our friends makes a joke about anything even remotely related to swinging our ears perk up. We were partying with a couple we're friends with and we were all making jokes (initiated by them) about key parties, strip clubs, swinging, swapping etc. At the time Katrina and I were having one of those "if they only knew" moments, but it turns out they thought they were having an "if they only knew" moment too lol. We were all swingers and thought the others were vanilla. Very funny once we all figured it out.

Heck, for us, it's practically a game. We'll be at a vanilla event and look around the room and we'll take guesses on who is most likely to be a swinger! For us, it's just another fun part about being in our "secret club."

We also agree with our sense of humor and innuendo leaking out. I can't count the number of people who have "joked" with us...are you guys swingers? We all a laugh and sip on our drinks. Hopefully they don't see the wicked smiles my wife and I give each other.

Its definately a FUN game..

The worst part is, when you recognise people, that BLURRED the faces, but failed to blur a tattoo, or other easy to spot body mark. That can lead to all sort of in approprate giggle sessions

As far as the What If game in general.. can be fun.. can be scary.. Picture two SSSCs (Sexy Senile Senior Citizens) sitting in a McDonalds...

Or better yet, How about really in approprate.. when you sort THINK you recognise the TEACHER that called you in cause your SON was "acting inapproprately"

We are totally new to the lifestyle and we've found that it is always in the back of our mind. The other night he was bowling and called me to tell me he noticed someone who would be perfect for us....... we enjoy the little "what about that one" game we get to play now. Just another thing that makes us special to one another

I believe it was JnCC that coined the term "Playdar" on the board a few years ago (that's how I remember it anyway).
Most of us play that game, and do perk up when certain indicators are present or noticed.

Yeah, us too. We thought we were pretty discreet, and generally are. Except that more than once someone has asked Mrs two4you point blank "Are you two swingers?". Quick laughs at the audacity and silliness of the question and denials are the general response.

Funny, how this topic came up. One time while my gf and I were shopping for a new couch. We stumbled across a couch that was perfect for our family. It was a 'L' shaped sectional with a (large ottoman that could literally fit 4 people to play.) Many things were going through our mind at the time: the cost, the color and the ottoman. Then while we were making our final decision to buy the couch. A couple comes from out of nowhere! And it really seemed like they came from nowhere! We made one little comment about the ottoman, nothing sexual mind you, then female of the couple sits on the edge of the ottoman and says, "Wow, there is plenty of room to play on this ottoman." She gave us the look...you know the look...and hear husband just sits at the end of the couch laughing. To finish, there is no need to wonder, they are out there!!!!

It is a fun game to play. We found out our son's football coach from years ago is a swinger. Then I couldn't place the cute lady at an office. Ooops... Now I know where!!
