We've decided on starting out at a Club now what?

My boyfriend and I are new to this lifesytle and he's letting me set the pace We've decided that a club is a great place to start and fits our personality. Since our current circumstance forces us to be bi-coastal partners we have been looking at Vegas for our first outing. I'm experiencing a bit of information over load from surfing the board here for the past several weeks. I had no idea there was so much to think about............ what to wear, change of cloths, lockers & locks, what to bring to drink so much before I even get the opportunity to say hi to any body. Any suggestions or tips on figuring some of the small details prior to arriving at the club?

Check the club you are going to and see what they allow and what they have.

Then keep it simple and go with the idea that you will have fun even if you don't play. Anticipation is the most fun when you are starting out.

Yeah! First off, you have a great hubby so you are already off to a good start. Don't let the details stress you out. I know how that is as a Type A personality, lol. For us, because we are busy, have kids, etc...getting out is an opportunity to break our routine. Make it special. Go out for a nice dinner. Open a bottle of champagne. Make sure you talk so that you have ground rules for different situations that are right for you, but keep it light. For us, we ruled any sort of play off the table for our first time at a club. You two may want more. It's not a sprint...lol...so enjoy each other

Well - it's going to depend based on the club and what kind of atmosphere they're encouraging. If it's a "dance-club" type atmosphere... "pool party" ... "house party" ... etc. Generally, simply a nice casual style of dress is fine. I would recommend bringing a robe (or if you're a guy - a pair of shorts or pj-pants will usually be all you'd need) or some other type of cover-up in case the club has areas where nudity isn't permitted.

I would bring a small bag to store my "street clothes" and maybe a secondary small satchel or bag for any type of accessories you may be needing through the night (condoms, lube, particular toys you like to have, ... including your cell phone, etc.) ... and leave EVERYTHING else (wallets, valuables, etc.) in my car. While MOST places are filled with folk like you & I who are just there to have a good time... there's no reason to take an un-necessary risk and tempt people by leaving valuables unattended.

Some places have "lockers" - but most simply have a coat-room / closet where everyone piles their stuff for the evening.

Since I don't bring anything "valuable" through the door ('cept my clothes, but I think that'd be pretty obvious if someone were to be walking off with those) - I don't worry about things like locks for my stuff.

Good choice. Everyone has their preferences, but for us, the club route was a great way to ease into things. Go with no expectations other than to have a fun evening together, and everything will turn out great.

Don't sweat the small stuff, but it never hurts to plan ahead. Do a little 'net research which it sounds like you have already done and maybe call the club to ask any questions before you get there. If you've got the details figured out, that will be less to worry about when you walk through the door for the first time. You'll probably have plenty to occupy your mind so if everything is taken care of beforehand, you won't have to be devoting energy to anything other than having a good time.

Have you thought about finding a compatible couple, that might meet you guys there? Someone from the area ? I was just thinking at least a chat with someone local, might be benifical.

That's an idea to explore, but how do you go about finding a compatible couple when you will be traveling to go to a club?

We use Adult Swingers Personals Service and LifeStyle info. as you know primarily. When we travel we use the search feature and also change our zip to that area. I know by us being in a town with a major university we are also contacted by people who may be in our area at a given time. We try to be helpful with what we know about our area. And sometimes if we feel compatible we have met with a few. Most people as we see it are helpful with travelers when we inquire.
