I've seen this word used a couple of times, and was wondering what exactly it means. Could someone define it for me?

Unicorn = single bisexual female swinger. EVerybody's looking for her, and they're reputed to exist, but much like the mythical unicorn, a sane, together, single swinging female is unbelievably difficult to find. This explains why single women pay a very small membership fee for clubs, compared to couples and even more for single men. The prospect of no-strings-attached group sex seems to bring (unstable) single men out in droves, but it doesn't have nearly the same effect on women.

In swinging, it usually refers to the single bi-female that will play with the man and the female of a couple. Called a unicorn because they are sometimes as hard to find as that mythical character.

Count me in, ms. Unicorn! One thing I'm picking up on these boards is that it's easy to worry no one will want you, but this is a big world with great communications, so there's someone out there for each of us.

This is absolutely, 100% the truth. We have a friend that is a unicorn (its funny how when you aren't looking for one they show up lol)...well, she went to a meet and greet. Everyone was there, and I guess it was really flirtatious, of course. What do you expect? Well, she felt like a piece of meat, and they were all the dogs fighting over her. She didn't like it at all, and ended up leaving early.

yeh i have had several single bi females say that it was hard to hook up with cpls they say that the female of the cpl is has issues about there man playing with a single female

You know, nothing annoys me more than someone professing to be a "swinger" and then getting in the bedroom and freaking out. Now, this has never happened to me personally (thank GOODNESS), but I talked with someone recently who said that the wife started spazzing out and crying and the whole nine yards. Talk about a downer. I know you never know how you are going to react to a situation until you are actually in it, but I think you should have an inkling of how you are going to feel!
