i only mentioned the criticism of that particular story because as the guy that wrote it said . (argue amongst yourself because he is not interested)which probably means he wont write another story and personally i think thats a shame. is story telling a closed shop to newbies to the site do some people acctually read the stories just to criticise them i allways thought to be a swinger you had to be very open minded and up for anything im new to this site and theres no way i ll be writing any stories but i will continue to read them just not the criticsm lol

I haven’t seen any trends on this board that would exclude newbies from sharing their stories with others. Actually one of the things about this board that keeps me coming back is the lack of "importance by way of seniority" attitudes here.

However this is a place where people freely exchange ideas, and that means that sometimes people will disagree with others. As in the case you are referencing. In that one the story involved a certain level of deception to some parties involved, and that’s what was being criticized (well that and some speculation that the story was fake, just due to it's sort of stereotypical "Dear Penthouse Letters" nature).

However I do strongly feel that no matter who had posted that story, the objections to the deception would have been the same. Whether it was someone’s first post, or their thousandth. And that's just something you (and everyone who uses a forum) need to be aware of. You're free to say what you like, but some people may respond to it in ways that are not necessarily pleasing to you.

Something that might help you understand a little better what is occurring. The thread you are referring to was originally posted 3 years ago. At the time it was most likely posted either in General Swingers or in the Situational Help forum, as at the time we did not have forums specifically for "experiences". Once those forums were established myself and the mods moved many threads that were along the lines of someone sharing their experience (good, bad, or ugly) to said experiences forums. As the original post is 3 years old so are most of the responses in it, so perhaps that is something worth looking at when you criticize current members.

And if it's stories you are looking for, there's actually a section of the site just for that, see the "stories" link on the top menu.

Now just as you said that criticizing someone is not a way to encourage them to come back, jumping on people in a forum for something that was said by one person 3 years ago is not a fast track to being welcomed with open arms.
