Look of "posts" page

Julie, several days ago upon opening "new posts" I found at the top of page one a list of all the forums. This listing takes up to 1/2 to 3/4 of page 1. It now happens each time I go to the area. Is this something I did or a new format for the page?

I was a little peeved at this as well... but if you open each one (whether you read or not is up to you), then they go away until someone else posts just like any other thread. It only takes a couple of minutes to do.

I am actually surprised it took this long for someone to comment on this. I updated the announcements about the individual forums and didn't realize at the time that they would show up on the "new posts" list. Not that it's a bad thing, as it's a reminder to everyone what those forums are about. Most folks who have been here for a while use the "new posts" instead of looking at each forum individually.

Yes, if you just open them, they will go away.

Thank you for the explanation Julie. I have had enough funky things go on with some computer issues and web pages lately that it it just nice to know it wasn't something I did! Chalk it up to a hyper sensitivity to random button pushing with unintended results.
