Would you like to see this forum addition?

The idea of a forum where we (ladies) could post items for exchange/sale such as lingerie/clubwear has been brought up a couple of different times, so I thought I would bring it to you and see if this is something that the majority would like to see added. The forum could allow for listings of items for exchange/ free / items you've listed on Ebay/CraigsList for sale, but would be limited to items related to our interest in swinging.... primarily lingerie/ clubwear but could also include things like digital camera's, sybians, love swings and other large/ higher end "toys".

If your final decision is to do this, there are a few things you might want to consider before emplimenting it. I have to head out the door, but I will let you know what my thoughts are later this evening.

FWIW, IF (big IF) this forum were implemented it would have to be a moderated forum (as the news forum started out). Items for sale would have to be linked to other sites where they are listed for sale, rather than the info being posted here. And as with other posts, personal info (addresses, phone numbers) would not be posted publicly. The forum, if implimented, would only be to announce that something is available, if someone is interested, contact would have to be made through PM or email (as the the poster has provided in their profile here). Most likely, no replies would be allowed in this forum, only initial posts.

I would like to see some thoughts from those of you who are voting as to why it would/ would not be a good addition.

I've been on the "don't know" fence for a long time as others have broached the topic with me, and as we have removed/denied threads that would have fit into such a forum. So, I can definately see some pros and cons, but would like to know what others thoughts are. Moreso than the number of votes, the reasons behind them would be helpful in making a final decision.

I think that if it's a separate forum it would be fine. I think there might potentially be a problem with over-zealous sellers posting links to the classified post in other forums. I don't know what could be done to prevent that, but...

Overall I have nothing philosophically against it. It's just nothing I've ever thought about in the context of swinging.

I voted yes.

I figure, give it a try, see if it works, and go from there.
If it does, then great, another resource for the board members.
If the response is "Meh", then pull it down, and try something else.

I do think we'd probably quickly have some entrepreneurs joining the board and trying the "buy my used panties" shtick though.

Buying clothes online is tough because I never know how they will look on me until I try them on. With regular clothing websites I can usually get free shipping and return merchandise easily, not the case when using craigslist or ebay.

I also don't buy clubwear, so for this reason I wouldn't be interested. Lingerie is a very personal item and I wouldn't want to buy it used, and again, I'm really particular about those things and always buy in the store so I can try it on.

Personal play items, that really limits things because most play items are too personal - also cheap to begin with - and I wouldn't want used play items.

Our local swinger site has a "market" forum and I see it as more practical because people can drive over and pick up or try on the items for sale since most members are within driving distance. The market forum sells everything from cars to washing machines, so that forum is active.

Many small businesses use ebay and craigslist to promote their business, I can see a problem with them using the SB forum to expand their market, which I would consider spam. Moderating such a forum would take time and investigative work to find out if it's just a person selling one used item or a small business who markets through ebay and craigslist as a fulltime business venture and then comes here to link to their ads on those sites.

I'm having a difficult time imagining something "swinger related" that I might purchase used. Maybe something like the Liberator Shapes??? What would a used dance pole look like?

Perhaps, also encourage discussions of product evaluations. What's the best lube and why. Maybe a group buy on condoms???

I think it would be a pretty good idea. I know I have sexy tops that I thought I loved only to get them home and not like how they fit. Still have the price tag on them however I purchased some of them when we were traveling so there isnt a store close by.

They are about 7-8 feet tall going from the floor, to the ceiling. They are kinda shiny, brass colored.........

It's a solid mounted pole. We want one that would rotate freely. If I don't sell it. I'll have to custom weld some bearings on it. I would rather buy a nicer one, and leave mine for sale.

This is where I think if its kept clean (the forum) the clientèle would be normal folks like us. Some people do hang out around here that don't post, but enjoy this website. I think the majority of us are clean and some of the other sites like e-bay, do take care of things.

I doubt any of us regulars are going to sell panties (ya never know) but some of the other stuff like whips, swings, chairs.... you get the picture. (unless ya need me to describe somthin again)

To the forum question : Whats the risk vs the outcome ? I think a time limit should be established, and stick to it.

Anyone wants to buy some used condoms, get them while they are fresh. First cum first serve. Now that the joke is out of the way, we can see where this could be a profitable adventure for some people. Make it like the "E-bay of Swingers" Hay you can call it, (now just think about this before you make a judgement) Swing-Bay.

I think this would be a great idea - it is sometimes so hard to find things that can be used for "swinging"...

Maybe forget the sale (illegal) and make it a trading of wives for a vacation. One goes to maybe a Florida beach house and the other to maybe to a mountain cabin for a week.
Bet more would use it for that than used panties.
