Message at the Top of the Page - What does it say?

When you log in do you see a message at the top of your page? Something along the lines of "hey you, you haven't posted yet?" Or "hey you, why haven't you posted lately?" Or "hey you, you still need to confirm your registration?"

If so, please post here and let me know what the message says.

I get this message occasionally too. I actually find it somewhat annoying it makes me feel like I'm being pressured to post something. I know that is not the purpose for it but that is how I feel. If I post something then it is gone.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. The purpose is definately NOT to make people feel pressured into posting... it is to encourage you to post. But if it just annoys you then it's not serving the correct purpose and may be working against itself.

Hi Julie,

Yes, I get pretty much the same message that everyone else has described, however I find it to be reassuring. It reminds me that it is best (for me) to just keep my thoughts and opinions to myself. You see a few years ago I realized that there are six point five billion (6,500,000,000) people on this planet. That means that there are 6.5 billion different ways to be human or expressed differently there are six 6.5 billion different points of view. Shortly thereafter I realized that my point of view is the only one that is completely and totally wrong. I was shocked to say the least...BUT! I got it.

To answer your other question. In times past whenever I ventured to post something the message went away for a few days or a week, but then magically it appears again. I hope that it isn't gone for very long this time...it soothes my soul.

I dislike this message at the top of my screen, as I've been a member for over 3 years, and have over 700 forums posts. Just because I don't post every day, or even for over a month or more, doesn't make me a lurker.

Stu,

To check to see if your are still on the mailng list, enter your email address in the box at the top of the screen. If it says you are already on the list but you aren't getting the emails, then chances are they are getting caught somewhere by either your or your ISPs spam filter, so you may need to check your spam/junk folder to see if it's getting misdirected.
