Please help with searches - someone....

How do I get searches to work? All my searches on te forums return nothing.

I want to find what others already have said about this area and any polls on it.

I am looking for topics on what we all consider sex, intercourse, virginity, etc. based on this post:

This would make a GREAt topic for discussion if it has not already been done. I teach health and this is a VERY common suject that comes up with all the kids, especially the girls. I am going to search the topc and see if it has been posted. I'll link it back here if possible. herpob

I've been here a while and we normally stay with the adult oriented swinging type stuff.

We do have a section for Advice on Life which may cover high school kids and their sexuality, but I haven't seen anything in detail about that. It would be a good subject to talk about for parents with kids.

We've always used honesty with our kids and tempered by the age they are at when we are talking to them. We've never tried to hide anything or make it dirty and talked frankly and used the correct words (no baby talk). You can't stop them from doing things, but you can educate them and give them the ability to make an educated decision.

Sex is beautiful. The human form is beautiful. And all things in the appropriate settings.

I just typed "virginity" in the search box and got back 4 pages of results. If you go to advanced search (click search on the top menu then click advanced search) you can narrow the results further by only searching specific forums, or by searching only for threads with that term in the title.

The more words you put in the search box the less it's going to return. Often, if you are looking for a specific topic that may fall under several different terms, you might have to do several searches. It could also be that the search/thread you are looking for just isn't there.

If I read you right, you are looking for a thread on the topic of basically "How did you lose your virginity?", which I would not be terribly suprised to find may not already exist. Feel free to start a new thread. We are not adverse here to multiple threads on the same or similar topics (as you have probably noticed). On the odd occasion that one of the mods has memory of a recent thread on the same topic as one that has just been started we will merge them. But with so many threads, about the only time that happens is when both threads are very recent, or if we just happen to have stumbled upon the previous thread recently.

I take it back. I just went to advanced search and searched for threads with virginity in the title and the first thread that came back was:

At what age did you "lose" your (non-swinging) virginity?
(from February of 2007) - and it has a poll attached.

Pretty close - what I am looking for is what people consider losing their virginity means, defined so to speak. Like the guy I copied and pasted here.

And thanks for the tips on searches I guess I was typing the wrong stuff.
