Is Swinging Biblical? If so, let's endorse a hott new forum and consistantly prove it

Very interesting thread from *my* perspective, and I agree with many folks here when it's been said "Post away" and get your thoughts and questions out there....no need for a specific forum for that......but anywhere there is "spirituality" or "religion" discussed, I do enjoy reading about it, especially with regards to sexuality. Having spent 6 years in Europe, I realized who those outside the US viewed us as "puritanical"....despite our freedoms to do whatever he heck we wanted per se.....

I don't think that people should use the board and the discussions to write a book, but being one that would call myself a christian I have thought it interesting to seeing other christians thoughts on how the two mesh. I think that the martial bed can not be defiled. Whatever toys the husband and wife decided to bring to bed is up to them.

Me neither. In biblical times it meant violated the property rights of the husband over his wives. Today it is meaningless in swinging since women have equal rights and its done together in honestly and openness.

Honestly...We could care less about any swingers religion or lack there of. That's not really the reason we are in this hobby.
At the board I use as home base I'm a outspoken atheist *but not of the kind that wants to take Under god or" in god we trust off anything-but I do laugh very hard at how much it agitates fundies*...but it took a few years of posting and laying down a reasonable foundation of personality before I broached the subject...and that was to put some loudmouth troll with fundie leanings in his place.
Fussing over the subject tends to be no fun when folks are of a reasonable nature...

I have to agree with cupl4fun on this one. One can twist anything to read how they want. If you want truth you are going to have to study the culture, history, and the entire theme in which something is written to be able to get at somewhat of a truth AND you are going to have to do it in its original language with a strong understanding of the language in all its context.

For those who are interested; when I first got on this board I suggested a book that dealt with how God really views sex based on the Bible called Divine Sex by Philo Thelos. It's a very interesting book that I would recommend everyone read at least once (just to see some alternative views). The author's real name is Darwin Chandler. I recently e-mailed him and he asked me to let the people on this board know that he would be happy to send anyone from the board a free copy of his books in PDF format.
