10 Years and A Big Thank You

I just want to say a BIG Thank You to everyone here. Every person who takes the time to participate in this site in some way, whether it's here in the forums, the chat room, posting stories, or even just reading the site. Everyone deserves a huge Thank You. Each person who participates in this site in any way makes it what it is and keeps it going.

I admit that in the last 10 years there have been some periods where I have not taken as much involvement in the site as I should have (the last couple of years fall into that category). In the last few months since I've "been back" so to speak really trying to bring the site back to the glory days of several years ago, you have all made me realize how important it is for me to be here, and how important each of you are.

We all touch so many people without realizing it and so many of you have really touched me by being here. In the last few weeks I've gotten several VERY nice Thank You messages from people reminding me why I'm here, so I just wanted to return the favor and say Thank You to all of you who participate in this site for making it the resource that it is.

From my perspective, there's plenty of thanks to go around and a special thanks to all the mods. They work quietly behind the scenes making things run much smoother - we know they're doing the job well when their presence is least noticed.

So True! The mods really don't get enough credit around here. They do their jobs so well, as you point out, that they are hardly noticed. There's no way this place would run smooth without all of them putting such great efforts in.

I've been on a few boards and communities of various types over the years.

I can say, without a doubt, this is the absolute best forum I've ever been a part of. It isn't even close.

Even if I stray away for a month or two, I always manage to make it back. You just can't stay away from cool people, great conversation, and having some of your beliefs challenged.

Here's to 10 more years for you Julie! Maybe in 2018 the board will be all virtual reality and it's like a big old meet & greet every day of the year!

I totally agree. We've been on this board for 4 years now (ok, more me than Drew) and even though there's been times when we weren't on much or at all, we've always come back. This is the board that I've been on the longest.

Thanks Julie for giving us a place to share and grow!
