Tip: User CP - Thread Display Options

Did you know you have choices on how you can view threads?

The default view is just the list of posts one after the other starting with the newest post and reading like a book in chronological order.

However, you don't HAVE to look at them that way.

If you'd prefer you can.....

Reverse the order and view the newest post first and read backwards....

or

Use a Threaded view which shows you only the first post in a thread then shows you the other posts by title only (similar to how Yahoo Groups shows messages). This allows you to see when threads take a turn into perhaps a different fork in the road or become a back and forth between two users.

Or use the Hybrid view. This is similar to the above but instead of just the first post it shows you the first 10 and gives you the option to continue viewing in standard mode.

You can change these options and a few others by clicking on your User CP then "edit options" then scrolling down to "thread display options". You'll see a few other options there as well. You may want to just check out the other options and see what you think, you might find a new way to look at the board!

You know what would be great, Julie? A link back to the User CP at the bottom on a thread, so those of us reading our subscribed threads don't have to scroll back up to the page (or hit HOME) to get back to the User CP.
