| mildly abnormal | How big is the avatar you are trying to upload? There is a size limit of 100x100 or 20kb As for the MSN yahoo question, no they are not the same thing. They are two different instant messaging programs and I'm pretty sure you have to have separate accounts on each - I'm no MSN/ yahoo expert, however. I could be wrong.

| Doing it our way... | The two chat programs are two separate programs. However, Yahoo! and MSN do allow you to add the other program's buddies to the other program's list (i.e., you can add your Yahoo! buddies to your MSN list and chat with the Yahoo! buddies from MSN and vice versa). Check out MSN's Live Messenger help page for more details on how to use that feature.

| Swingers Board Addict | RPU3 is right. you can add your yahoo friends to msn and vice versa but when you are chatting some of the features such as file and photo sharing may be disabled. FYI there is a site I use when i travel for work since I am not allowed IM clients on my work laptop and the site is called www.meebo.com From there you can access all your IM clients from a web browser. |

Click "Browse" it opens a box to let you search for the picture on your harddrive that you want to use. Select the image and click "open". That will return you back to edit avatar page and the location of the image will show in the box. Then click "save changes" at the bottom of the page and then it should load the page and pull the image from your harddrive. If the image is the wrong size it will give you a message explaining whether it was the image size or the file size that is the problem. | |
