I know some of you use different blog/ journal sites (like livejournal/ myspace / etc). If we added a blogging system to this site would you be likely to use it?

you would be able to post a blog to share with others (and others could comment to if you let them). You could restrict who can view your blog (friends only) and you can even just make it a private diary where you are the only one who can read it.

That does sound like it could be fun.
I like the limited view idea. I am sure that there are some people on this board who meet from time to time and some may put two and two together and figure out who is seeing who.
But the idea does sound fun.

I voted "maybe" - yeah, I know that's pretty wishy-washy. I've tried the blogging thing and it's fun for a while but I loose interest in it quickly. I do enjoy reading other blogs and sometimes commenting on their observations.

Keeping a blog over here would depend on being able to limit who could view it or comment on it.

You would be able to set who could view and/or comment to your blog to either just you, anyone or just those on your buddy list.

You will also be able to moderate the comments to your blog, if you choose to do so.

I voted maybe also. I would not keep a blog (not enough time and my life definitely is not worth blogging) but I'd definitely love to read (and comment) on them.

The few blogs I've tried using, were very cumbersome to search and find what I wanted to view. One here would definitely increase the odds of me finding it interesting

I think it is a great idea. I like the "privatization" aspect that you proposed.

Since my wife and I share the same username, I could see using it to pass notes to each other. (hey, check out this post on ________) or using it as an area to store posts that I am writing/editing but not ready to post on yet.

For me... I won't post about swinging topics on my public blog (too many locals who don't know my hobby) but I would post those thoughts and activities on a blog here.

I often read blogs, sometimes you learn new things, or someone is experiencing the same thing as you. Blogging about ones things in life, may help others. I often blog about me, and the things I have done, just express the feeling I have. Yes I would use it.

We could use a little more feedback on this idea before we bother implimenting it.... and I realize that for many who don't already blog it may take implimenting it and just letting people play with it before they have any feedback.... so I guess the question is... if we impliment it would you even play with it? Or would it be another feature that you forget is here?

maybe? i guess we are confused. the blog would be through the swingersboard? but it would be more about sharing our personal lives about swinging? our our personal aspects of life in general?

then there would be issues that might come up that if we do or don't give permission to someone to allow them to be on our friends list, it might be taken the wrong way and influence their replies on the forums

.

if you add it to the swingers board features of coarse we would play with it.

You could use it for whatever you want, whether just to share your swinging adventures... or to share both... or you can keep it totally private and just use it as a personal journal... or even as somone else suggested a way to keep notes and share back and forth between each other the things they see on the board when they aren't viewing together.

You would have the option to open it to all registered users, make it private, or just share it with "friends". Those who aren't on your "friends" list won't know why they aren't seeing it... just that they don't have permission.
