We get foxes in our yard on a pretty regular basis.... and deer... and snakes... and we live in the city (even though it looks like we live in the mounts). I discovered last night that if I'm in an upstairs room standing on a step ladder looking out the back window (during this time of year where there aren't leaves on the trees yet) I have a really nice view!

You know, it's kinda funny but I just had the reign in the dogs while I was walking them a couple of nights ago because one of the neighborhood black bears decided to wander through my front yard. I guess that I should take this as a sign that spring is finally here!

A couple of years ago, we had a one earred fox we named Freddie that used to show up at just about sunset each night to get his leftovers from the day before. I walked outside one night to get his bowl and heard a noise. When the motion detector light kicked on finally, there was Freddie sitting about 5 feet away waiting for supper. Our neighbor was lucky enough to be able to hand feed him. Freddie stopped coming about a month later. Haven't seen him since.

Yeah, we just re-did Amelia's avatar. Unfortunately, the picture tended to loose something in the translation to avatar-size...
