| Canadian, eh? | This was brought up in the cookbook thread. I'd love to have some kind of jewellry that I could wear that would ever so subtly identify me as a swinger. It would need to be something that could be easily explained away to a hard-core vanilla person as just a pretty bauble, but for those "in the know" it would get me a sly smile. Surely somewhere out there in our diverse group SOMEbody is (or knows of) a jewellry designer that is up to the task of creating affordable custom earrings, bracelets, pendants, rings, toe rings, belly rings, etc. for us here on SB. We'd also need some ideas for a logo design. So...what does everyone think?

I don't know anyone who does jewelry (well - I do, but I doubt she'd be down with this idea). I know a bunch of people who do glass (I do stained glass, myself) and some who do the fusible glass to create jewelry, but as far as I know they can't do much more than glob some colors together and make pretty swirly things. If we're talking about logos, it's probably out of their range. |

You need a symbol that can be easily recognized by the "target" audience. But, if seen by someone else who didn't know what it was, would not assume anything. I have the NASCA apple. It is gold and was made by a jeweller and not the one distributed by NASCA. I also refer to it as the Apple from the original sin of Adam & Eve. The great thing is that it follows the rules of the above paragraph. When my mom saw and asked what it was, I just told her it was an apple. No further explanation necessary.

At one point I had Paul clean up a piece that wasn't his work. They were an absolute top notch business on each occasion I have dealt with them. Spendy, but excellent quality!! Alas, the custom section says he is swamped........Maybe there is some regular production that will fit our needs? Last edited by ANGEDKY(mr) : 01-14-2007 at 04:10 PM. I bought one for my wife here: http://www.showoffyourstuff.com/anklets2.htm She got a few winks from some guys we later found out were in the lifestyle and they recognized it. Her mother just thought it was cute because it jingled. Seems to do the trick! |

| Canadian, eh? | The anklets were cool, but we're not into the BDSM scene. That just gets me recognized by the wrong group. lol I noticed they had some swinger's jewellry, but they're the usual Mars and Venus symbols. ANGEDKY(mr) seems to be onto something, but it's too bad they're not accepting custom work anymore. I think we've got a pretty unique little community on here, one that I haven't seen the like of anywhere else in my internet travels (and I've been everywhere, man). I'm just thinking, how cool would it be to be out somewhere for dinner or to the movies and recognize another SB junkie by their jewellry? Talk about your conversation starter! There are certainly lots of us on here. As of this post, there are 53,386 members! That's a lot of people. And consider that some of those memberships represent two people.

However, I don't know anyone that can help us with this. Oh, and as for those ankle bracelets...I had one when I was 15 and so did half my high school. So it definitely doesn't mean swingers. ![]() ~SS

| Active Member | That website has potential. I, in the meantime have been sporting a playboy necklace for now. But maybe having something like a snake in a shape of a "S" and the variety of colors would depend on swinger type. May it be a bisexual single, hetero couple, etc... |
