At the top of the "Currently Active Users" box, it says "Most users ever online was 802, 12-13-2005 at 04:58 PM." Does anyone remember that date and have any idea why there were so many people online at that time? Just curious ... M |

I think it was actually a glitch. The users online is updated every few minutes and I think that what happened was that time period was lengthened at one point, causing the number to rise (because it was being updated less frequently people were seen as being online longer and thus more people online at one time). I'm sure some times do this on purpose to make things look busier than they are, but I prefer a more true picture of who's online, so we keep the refresh time pretty short around here.

If it is the time I am thinking of it was right about the time that the Opra story on swinging aired. The only reason I remember it is that at that time someone commented that we had just reset most online and we assumed it was because of the Opra show.
