The fact that the avatars disappared was not bothering me. The real reasons I hang out here is to pick up some good information and participate in stimulating conversation. But now I have noticed that some members are displaying avatars that used to belong to other members. This has confused me. I'm sure no member is doing this on purpose. I suspect that the entire set of stock avatars has simply became available again. Have any of you noticed the same?

Are you talking about more than one member using the same stock avatar? If so, my understanding is that the stock avatars are, and always have been, available to anyone who wants to use them. A stock avatar doesn't become unavailable to others when someone chooses it as theirs.

Yes, technically we could all use the same avatars because there is no limit on the stock ones.

That's the reason for allowing custom avatars. And it's killing me because I made mine festive and no one can see.

I decided to follow Miss Piggy and use the first stock avatar I used when I joined the Board.

Until the custom avatar feature is up and running again, just pretend that's me in the picture.
