That said, I'm sure there may be other topics that we may be missing the boat on and perhaps we may need to consider adding some other forums. I'd like to get some feedback on what other topics you feel there should be a forum for. I'd like to get a discussion going on the possibility of adding a bisexuality forum - for the discussion of all things related to bisexuality (both male and female). Bisexuality is often a very hot topic here and the threads on the subject tend to be lengthy, often repeating the same themes over and over again. We also tend to see cycles of discussions on this topic (and others) where there will be many threads on the subject (as is the case right now) and other times where there's barely a peep. I'm honestly not sure what having a forum would do for that cycle, if it would help even things out, calm things down or increase the discussions. Another possibility that we have considered is a forum dedicated to the discussion of all things related to personal ads. We get a lot of questions along these lines - where to place them, how to write them, what kinds of pictures to include, what to say, what not to say, etc. The main concern with this would be ensuring that the point of the forum is clear and that it doesn't end up being a forum that people think is there as a place to post personal ads. Of course, we always have to balance the positives with the negatives to determine where change is worthwhile. Anytime we add a new forum that is one more chance that users may be overwhelmed and confused by the number of available forums and increases the chances that posts will be placed in the wrong forum - thus increasing the work to be done by the mods. New forums also typically mean the need for additional mods. We have a great mod team right now (Thank You to all of you!) that work VERY hard to keep this place orderly and keep the spammers in check and everyone behaving, so it's always important to consider them and the work that they put in around here. Any thoughts/ ideas/ feedback are welcome. |

| mildly abnormal | I think a bisexuality forum is a nice idea. There isn't really a good place for those discussions as it is. If you're worried about having too many forums, have you considered making the adult entertaining and games forums one. I remember thinking some time ago that those sort of seemed like they could be the same thing. Not sure why I never asked about it before... ![]()

| Some sort of user Join Date: Oct 2005 Posts: 1,121 Location: Argentina Status: Couple | Well, since I advocated for the Poly forum, I should be consistent and add my vote for the bisexuality one. I like the way Julie expressed the criteria to choose for topics candidate for new forums. About this, I was advocating for a Poly forum because I felt the poly/poly friendly swingers around here are being ill seen on the grounds of some prejudices, thus having a place inviting poly/poly friendly swingers to discuss those topics would help to correct those prejudices. In the other hand, even when it is true the whole bi thing brings a lot of discussions, I didn't felt it is ill seen (for the sake, I exposed my personal situations and ponderings about the bi thing, so I would be affected as well because of this). What I don't know about this criteria is if the topic become candidate just because there are big discussions an cycles, as Julie said, and/or because those discussions are affecting negatively the participation of other members because of the lack of an "deserving authoritative framework" in where to discuss it, but I guess the later should be something to take into account. I mean, there are many flavors of swinging, and for sure there is a main flavor, and I believe it's important to embrance and encourage the participation from people liking evey flavor, as for everyone of us to get to know what's the trill those other flavors have to offer. Should the main flavor stream were overpowering some other flavors, then it'd be good to give those flavors an space where to be exposed. So, I'd ask, someone felt a hard time expressing their toughts or feelings about bisexuality, because of the underestimation of the subject or because of the reaction other members had "from their guts" when discussing the issue? |

Being that its almost impossible to have any discussion of swinging without mention of at least some bisexuality, it seems redundant to me. The only value I see to it, is not in freedom of discussion, but in organization. It would be easier for new people to search the bisexuality forum, but thats the only real value I can see. | |

This is a very busy site and it seems to be the only way to keep track of what is happening. Any other suggestions?
