Okay, ladies and gents, I've been here less than a week, lurking and reading, posting a little bit. I've learned a lot about the lifestyle so far, and I'm still learning.
But what's struck me so far is how COOL you all are. In fact, I'm developing a bit of a crush on some of you

So, who's your Swingers Board hero or heroine?

I admire those who have intelligence, and tell it like it is, with humor and wit and grace. And if you speak in tongues, oh baby it makes me hot! What about y'all?

Hero: Vegas Lee. He truly understands swinging.

Heroine: Tie between Julie who owns the most valuable internet resource swingers have on the internet, this site, and Intuition who's thoughtful and intelligent posts have had a long term positive effect on this site.

There are many others who's imput is valued here, too many to name, and it is difficult to limit it to hero and heroine. Any person who posts a single post here adds to the discussion.

That is my 2 cents worth anyway. As soon as others are named, I will be slapping myself on the forehead, saying "Duh, I forgot about so-and-so!"

I have many people here who I admire, respect, and have come to think of as friends. That being said, I wouldn't even try to list them for fear of forgetting someone and causing them to be offended by my omission.

I've been on the board officially for a few days now, and unofficially for a couple of months. I've been "researching" the lifestyle for almost a year now, and as such, I've run across dozens of sites that purport to deal with swinging.

Never have I found a site with more sincere, intelligent, and articulate posters.

Even when dealing with potential trolls, responders are always kind and courteous. The personality of the people posting often shines through in such a charming way.

I've learned so much, especially in the situational help forum. As an aside, I really look forward to the new polyamory forum.

I'm so glad I found this place!

Edited to add: I couldn't possibly list my heros, there would be too many.

Anyone else want to throw their hat in the ring? I think I should be elected based mostly on the fact that Ohio is the capital and I do already live there... No extra cost to relocate.

On the other hand - if someone else wins, we're more than willing to let you use our place as an ad hoc "White House"...

As a politically correct wife I agree 100% with my husbands stance on this issue.

Gee I'm flattered that I made the list. 75% of the time I try to help people, and find real satisfaction if I manage to do it. The other 25% filler is just me liking to hear myself talk. lol

Hate to take the politically correct stance like the others, but there are so many people on here that I admire that I'm afraid I'd miss a few in trying to name them all. I'ved never been all that politically correct. So this is certainly an exception.

Two good examples are Julie (kissing Julie's ass, I know ) for the way she is able to make difficult decisions for the board, or respond to touchy posts with such fairness and common sense...and VegasLee, for the wisdom in his posts that comes from experience, and simply because I really admire someone who is able to fully merge their lifestyle into their vanilla/mainstream life the way he has. Very cool.

You're right Boudicca, there are a LOT of very cool people here!

There are a lot of people that I'd have to name - this board is that good, and I am not an ass-kisser.

That being said, I don't wish to leave anyone off, but the ones that stand out in my short tenure here:

Intuition - the first one who actually made me feel better about a situation I posted about with some sound advice about swinging being a contact sport, etc. It was exactly what I needed to get my shit straight so to speak. And she was right, too.

Spoomonkey tends to make me laugh, and think, and sometimes both at the same time (Pet v. Polyamory... gotta love that one)

Mrs. Spoomonkey, Julie and WesternSwing I always notice because I like the avatars...and both offer good advice as well.

Thrax - well, I'll admit I want him to drop the towel already from the avatar. He's eye candy, and likes Latin apparently. What more could a girl ask for on a board?

Tybee has also provide some advice that I've used.

Ok. I'll run for the chair and be politically right too. There are too many people whose oppinions I valuate, but I have a problem with the Hero/Heroine concept here. At some post I can find someone "saving the day", and in the next post someone else does the same.

So, I guess I should point out we should give credit to the people who gathered so many heros and heroines in this "Hall of Justice" , and feeded this board spirit the way it is and we all anjoy: Juile and all the administrators teams. Without them, no one of us would have had the chance to meet (and be saved) by the heros.
