What's your Forum Skin preference?

I was using the Swingers Board for many months before I realized that it offers members many choices of Forum Skin.

What's that you ask? I didn't know what it was so I'm presuming some of you don't either.

The Forum Skin is the colors you choose for this site to appear in. It's fun to have a choice and change it now and then. It's like deciding what color you want for your living room, or bedroom, it's very personal.

The Forum Default is vBulletin 3, that mauve/pink/flesh mix. I've used this since the beginning but just decided to give "bright" a try. I like it for a change.

What color is your Forum Skin, and why did you choose it?

P.S. I've set the poll up so that you can vote on multiple skins, just in case you have a number of preferences and like variety.

I was going to chose Default Blue, as I've been using it forever, but then I decided to check out some of the others and switched to Test Style, which I like better.

I use the vB3 just because, like you, I didn't know I could change the forum's skin. When I finally figured it out, I was so used to the pink & purple that I didn't like any other color.

I do like the test skin best but I don't like that the SB's logo is in purple. It doesn't match and it bugs me to no end so I continue to use vB3.

I know what you mean. I feel the same way. I thought I was the only fanatic.

The odd color on top is like an eyelash in my eye that I can't get out. It's something I want out of the way.

I'm using the forum default... I tried the blue for awhile but I think the pink is easier to read as it's easiest on my eyes and looks the best on my laptop screen.

I took this oppurtunity to check them all out again, but I still like the blue default best.

Interesting... I too, had no idea you could change it. In fact, it took me a while to figure out how to even do it. Went to Control Panel first, and then finally saw the drop-down in the lower left corner of the page.

After playing with it for a while, I think I'll try Test Style, but the jury is definitely still out. I may just go back to Forum Default.

I suppose it should be said how to try them out.

At the bottom of any page, on the left, you can try out any of the skins on a temporary basis by using that drop-down.

Or you can go to User CP, Control Panel, Edit Options, Miscellaneous Options and change the Forum Skin there - save changes, and then all of the board will stay with the chosen skin until you change it again.

I've found it takes getting used to anything new, and that's why I give everything a try for at least a week, unless of course I absolutely hate something the moment I lay eyes on it.

It just so happens the new avatar is what brought me to changing my skin.

The new avatar looked gross with the vB3 skin. I decided to look into what other options I had.

The 'bright' does enhance it. It also looks great with Alura's avatar...and jennandjames...and yours looks good with all of them, Ves.

I started with the default, and it's kinda grown on me I guess.

That was my first reaction too!

I like bright best. It's funky. I'm an arteeest, so I like to go against the grain and try something different than the default.. lol

I just bought those orange shoes I'm wearing. I felt in a very sexy mood because of them.
