With regard to a comment a few of you have mentioned. The missing post..etc etc.

Message Boards such as this one tend to get hammered from time to time. If 2 people try to post at the same time, in the same topic/area. It can mess up!

There are several topics/areas that use the same sub-scripts within this board. So all the submit commands run through a primary (sub) script routine, then are routed to the proper area.

While the "submit" function may look like it isn't doing anything when you click it. It is! So if you click it again, you just give more commands to the processor and script, which is already "obviously" having trouble parsing the commands sent to it.

Sometimes, your request will get ignored. But rarely, and only in extremely heavy traffic times.

As far as the post not being there when your browser automatically refreshes. This is your browsers fault more times than not. Just refresh again!

Julie Make note to tell your provider to notify you immediatly (preferably several days before) they make any changes in the defualt directory calls. This has happened to me before. The site was down for a week, before we discovered what the problem was. And, only then after a call to the provider raising all kinds of hell. It only took a couple of hours to correct (manually) but still we lost $$$ because the ads were not being displayed.

Luckily my hosting company is nothing short of awesome, so I rarely have anything to worry about there.

However, the problem of the site getting bogged down from time to time is a real issue... that's just one of those things you deal with with a site as busy as this one.. and as I mentioned in another post was one of the biggest reasons we had to upgrade personal ads area. Actually it's why the original personal ads area was removed for a time and we used Swinger Ads personal ads.. our service just couldn't keep up with the demand.. so we had one built that could.

Hopefully, the upgrade on the message board here will help things out a little. Those missing posts still didn't come back.. I wish I knew what the deal was there... almost makes me wonder if someone hasn't gotten hold of my password and started deleting things on me.

If the "missing posts" are still the ones about obese people, I think everyone thought they were on the wrong thread. They were not on my "mystery question" thread at all...they were, and still are, on a thread on the New Swingers board that is titled something like "swingers age/ethnicity" or something like that. Hope this helps!
