My wife(age46)has considered breast enlargement surgery, but we have lots of concerns about her doing so. After hearing so many horror stories, it is a wonder that anyone would ever have it done, but at the same time we know there are lots of women doing it. One thing, but not the only that concerns both of us is the part about loosing sensation in her nipples. As it stands now if you get a chance to touch her nipples the rest of her is free for the taking, no matter who it is. A plastic surgeons nurse told her not to have the surgery if her nipples were that sensitive, for they likely would not be after enlargement surgery. We are way past having more children so we are not concerned with any issues involved there. We want all your opinions so please help us out on this. Fox N Hound |

I suppose it depends upon how much you want larger breasts. That has never been an issue with myself as huge breasts run in my family and I was lucky enough to get that particular attribute (My mother and my sister both wear a size M cup, I'm an E cup and look tiny compared to them, but then they are also heavier than I am). Go to a few different surgeons for a consultation, look at their work (they all have albums with their work in it). Be sure to pay close attention to how the breasts look in the albums...make sure they aren't disfigured or weird looking. I have heard some horror stories about women coming out with some hideous looking breasts. I'm all for cosmetic surgery...if I feel my breasts are sagging just a little bit too low for my taste, believe me I'll be the first in line at the surgeon's door for a *tack up*. I have had cosmetic surgery before (had a total nose reconstruction due to having a total sinus reconstruction and I had my eyelids done about two years ago) and will again (botox is looking real good about now). I'm seriously considering permanent eyeliner right now and will probably make the appointment this coming week. Quin

My wife and I had the same concerns ! Talk to your doctor. There are several different techniques to perform the surgury... some involve an incision around the nipple, some do not. We opted for an incision that was NOT around the nipple, and the wife has experienced NO loss of sensitivity. A good Plastic Surgon can tell you more about the technical part.. but it has to do with where the nerves are located, and how the surgury is done !

A girlfriend of mine had her breasts done a little over a year ago. They looked terrific, but I saw them again a month ago and was surprised at how much they have fallen. She hadn't gone thru a weight change either. I'm not saying they are hanging down to her belly button, but they are definitely headed south. Is this normal? Why bother getting them then?

My hubby says whenever he hugs a woman he can instantly tell if they are enlargements or not. They feel too hard and not natural soft.I'll myself keep my sensitive nipples and put up with the nature of hanging. After all why do surgery for the look when that is all it gives and not the natural feel. There is exercise and weights for the sagging look. Last year I went on a vacation to Mexico with two of my friends, one of which had had implants the year before. Hers were not sagging, but she did tell me that she regretted having it done as she had lost most of the sensation in her breasts. She had a great looking cleavage but relatively little sensation in them. I suppose it all depends on where your preferences lie. Lori |

My wife has implants and she loves them. I would tell you all about them here, but you're at the wrong forum for this. Go to http://www.implantinfo.com That's an excellent site with its own online community exclusively dedicated to breast implants. You will see all kinds of stories and photos there and you can talk with women there about what to expect. We used that site as a starting point when my wife wanted her implants and we used the information that we learned from talking to women there when we interviewed surgeons. We ended up finding a surgeon that we really liked who was receptive to what she was looking for, and so she ended up with great results. People that don't do their own research, don't find a good surgeon, or don't know what they want will usually not be as happy with the results.

My wife also had this done, and her only complait is that she didn't go big enough. She loves the way she looks and has even more sensation in her nipples. And she highly recommends endobam (navel).

My own personal opinion is, I haven't yet met any artificially enhanced breasts that can come anywhere near the real thing. I have several friends that have opted for the surgery, and I'm sorry, they were so much nicer before. I've seen pictures and videos of women who had been under the knife, and their breasts look, for the most part, very unnatural. They often point in the same direction, rather than at a slight angle and when they are on their hands and knees, the sides of their breasts seem to be kind of flat rather than round. Of course when they lay on their back, their breasts point straight up at the ceiling, and they don't move naturally at all. Add all of this to the many horror stories, and the possible loss of sensation in the nipples, and I can't imagine why anyone would spend the thousands of dollars required to have breasts like Pamela Anderson and everyone else in Hollywood.I can rub my palm across my wife's nipple and it sends a charge right to her clit! I wouldn't trade that for Dolly Parton's cleavage. And I have seen very thin women...so thin that their ribs show, and right above them sit these two tremendously large orbs.... sorry, but it just isn't sexy. I certianly understand the reason why women often opt for the surgery, but I strongly recomend buying a good push up or add-a-size bra and use that money instead on a nice vacation to the islands. A few years back, everyone was getting noses just like Morgan Fairchild, now it's breasts like miss May, miss June, miss July, etc.etc.etc. I just don't get it. Sportync |

I myself have thought about breast augmentation, but after having my real ones reduced and lifted. I am a 42F or DDD and would love firm uplifted ones. My hubby is opposed to any breast surgery because of the fake hardness and the lack of nipple sensitivity. I have thought about just a lift, but don't want the vertical line from the nipple to the under crease.

My advice would be not to do it...I am a bit of a pessimist so I would always take the safe route when it comes to trusting someone else with a knife & my boobs. Also, I have sensitive nipples & can't imagine losing that. But if you do it good luck!! I'm a measly C & can imagine that it would be great fun to have big boobs!

Anyway let me throw in my nickles worth since I seem to be out of pennies. I can't speak from the guys point of view, but as a bi-sexual woman I am very turned off by " fake boobs" as I choose to call them. I agree with Sportync, they are just not as appealing as the real thing. Sure they look great under the clothing, but when the clothing comes off it is like two rock hard missles staring you in the face. Not being an overly endowed woman myself, I considered implants at one point. I can't say how happy I am, that I did not. I find the differences in women's breasts attractive, whether they be small, large, droopy whatever...as long as they are real and not a product of modern technology. Oh and BTW, the hubby doesn't care for the falsies either. Nothing stops us from fast forwarding on a porn flick quicker than a pair of fake boobs. My friend that had hers done, said she did it to feel better about herself. In our opinion there was nothing wrong with the ones she was given. Lori

I could care less if a woman has natural or silicone tits. (felt a pair of *firm* posers way back) It's not my body or my self image to deal with. My wife knows that she has the choice to get a lift, implants or stay au naturale. I feel bad for the owner when, seeing pics of chics with botched up breasts. One points north wilst the other prefers the west. Either way I still don't care.
