First, a little history. I was a musician/singer/entertainer most of my life and very conscious of my apperance on and off stage. Not to the point of vanity but I am/was considered very goodlooking in others' opinions. I kept myself up and that included proper dental care; however, as Sinatra sang "I'm in the autumn of my years" (59yo) and found it necessay to get dentures. I'm very self-conscious of them even though they've added to a nice smile and enhanced my appearance. My question to you(especially the ladies) Is this a turn off to anyone in the lifestyle? Mrs Hotjazz said they look great but she could be predjudiced. I'd appreciate any feedback. |

As long as you don't take them out and chase me around the house like my grandma did, I don't think it would bother me. Seriously, I doubt most people would even know you had dentures unless you took them out or told them.

Have to agree with Julie. I highly doubt I'd even know they were there unless you took them out or told me. I appreciate a nice smile. |

The only way I've been able to tell is with kissing....my tongue can tell. Never bothers me me tho. Just warn the 20 year olds anyone near your age should not be shocked and can probably tell by looking. Guys have said ladies who remove their dentures for a bj give awesome head. I have not found it alters anything with oral done on ladies |

I don't have any problems with dentures; in fact I meet this one lady at a house party and boy did she give me one hell of a BJ ( ) when she took them out. Only I didn't know till she was finished and she turned away while she put them back in. No problem at all!

I doubt very much that I would be able to tell if you had dentures or not. I'm sure I see them all the time and am clueless about it, because I've never looked at someone and knew (or thought) they had dentures. I would just notice that someone has a great, attractive smile.

Here's something that really makes me wonder because a bit of a different turn. I'm 26 almost 27 and have what's called "de-calcification" of my teeth. Basically means I have no enamel left and because no one told me when I was little there's nothing I can do about it.. I spoke with a dentist who took xray's and he agreed that I pretty much need them all removed.. I have an appt at the end of the month for a consult for a full extraction and dentures to be made.. it's something I'm ashamed of, even though I couldn't do anything about it before, but do opinion's change? Would people be any more adverse to someone young with dentures? I'm glad I found this thread I was about to post my own.. ![]() ~Blade~ |

Dragonblade, I'd still do you! It's the whole package, or at least most of it, that counts. So many people have bonded, etc. teeth these days that most people will probably just think you had a Hollywood dentist "make them perfect." Don't mention it, and no one will be the wiser.
