My wife tans nude no-lines. But for myself the lines don't bother me, I enjoy looking either way. I like seeing a nice tan though, makes people look alive.

As a woman I dont think they are. I think an all over tan is more sexy than seeing where the suit ended. You know they were naked when they were tanning so you can fantasize about being there with them......woohoo

Body tan lines are extremely sexy to me. I agree with Mich149, it let's you know that your seeing something you would not normally see in public. The darker the tan, the better also for me because not only am I seeing something I would not be able to see in public even with a bikini, it tells me that those areas have been covered up for a long time and seeing those areas excites me to think that not very many people have seen what I'm seeing. At least, that's my illusion. LOL.

A full body tan to me generally means that the lady went to a tanning booth, undressed unceremoniously, climbed into a machine for 30 minutes per session nude and paid an outrageous amount of money for something that they could've gotten for free by laying out in the sun. Can you tell I'm anti-tanning booth? That's another topic though...

For me seeing a good dark tan line means she's covered up while laying out in the sun and I'm getting to see a precious and protected area of her body.

I work fulltime (days) and have 5 yr old triplets at home. Tanning bed is the only way I can get a nice tan and keep it. Weekends, we are out camping (mostly with the family) so when you do see a lady (without lines. although you can wear a bathing suit), be happy they are trying to make themselves look nice.

Also, as all know, Michigan (and probably other states) is notorious for having lousy weekends. So I do what I have to do, so I don't look ghostly white throughout the summer. We do get away for a couple of weeks and I lay out then (as I'm on vacation) but otherwise there is always something to be done here on my days off.

Ok, I see that I may not have been as clear as I should have regarding the tanning bed thing. I admire and appreciate anyone who tries to better themselves or take the time and effort to look better for their mate or anyone else. Certainly, looking good gives anyone a boost in the self-esteem department. I can also appreciate the working woman, as you have indicated that you are, who doesn't have the time to lay out in the sun for various reasons be it kids or job or what have you. With so many distractions taxing your time and availablility, it's no wonder that you go in the evenings or at night to tanning beds when the sun is not up. This makes perfect sense.

The one's that really aggrivate me are the "I have to go to the tanning bed between my hair and toenail appointments just before going to the mall" types. These are usually eye-candy Britney Spears wannabe's with no job, no kids, no responsibilities, nothing but time on their hands women who don't wanna lay out in the sun because they're afraid they'll sweat. Or it interferes with their social agenda. The early 20-somethings that have no clue what a real life is about yet. These are the women of whom I speak. They're the ones who tend to be Golden brown "perfectly" tanned bodies, with no stretch marks or jelly rolls to show for their life experiences.

They DO have the time to lay out during the day, but choose to go to a tanning bed intead to catch up on local gossip, or have their nails done. I see this as a complete waste of time and money.

I hope this clears things up a bit. I don't want to categorize ALL women in the same classification. Not all women are this way. These are just the ones that aggrivate me.

Thank you for that. Wish at times I didn't have all the responsibilites, but we do. Actually, my tanning is paid for by my christmas present from my father. He said last year to use it (he always gives me money for my present) for something that I would not normally do. Bunch of women from work were talking about it and I thought just why not. I enjoyed the heat from the bed during those cold days,and like the comments my husband was saying. Plus I had a really nice tan, when summer came and I ended up wearing my bathing suit (2 piece) alot. This is something I did not normally do and my husband was very happy. (still is).

I can understand where you are coming from. Believe me, there are times when I wish we had extra time and extra money to do extravagent things....well will come when triplets are out of college (only 16 yrs of so. ). Till then I just say...Thanks dad.

Tanning has two meanings for me, one bad, one good.

We lost a dear business partner to Melanoma because she was a California bathing beauty as a teen and young woman. A beautiful life cut tragically short.

When I was young and single, I lived in a resort town in Spain where many young Scandanavian women spent their Summer holidays. Few Scandanavian men went there. I don't know why.

Days were, of course, spent on the beach and all, I'm sure, had tan lines. The knowledge that one is kissing something that has been hidden from view from most others gives a male a special feeling. I had rather sharp tan lines at the time. I wonder if women found them exciting...

I've found the best tans come from being active in the sun, not laying out in it. Playing frisbee or football catch on the beach, for instance, will help develop a smooth, evenly toned tan.

There is another system that is fairly new here but very popular. You stand in a booth and a solution is sprayed all over your body from a variety of jets. The solution is really just a temporary dye much like the self tanners sold in drugstores or dept. stores. It's harmless and lasts about two weeks. You need to visit the booth on two consecutive days to get the right effect. The night before you must exfoliate your skin thoroughly....but you could get some help with that part. If you return in two weeks to have it 'refreshed' you need only one visit to the booth. Time in the booth is just minutes, btw. You have a beautiful 'Bay Watch' tan with none of the ultraviolet danger. Oh, and you can wear whatever you choose to create the tan lines

I've never heard of this system, but it sounds like a great way to get the tan you want without the dangers of the sun or tanning beds....But I still prefer tan lines.
