I was lucky enough not to have an epsiotomy (actually, I threatened my doc with a lawsuit if he cut me) so I didn't have to have anything stitched. Just a tiny little tear that required one stitch.

I did Kegels and perineal massage during my pregnancy and continued the Kegels aftewards (and still do to this day) and I've never had any complaints about being loose.

We have done it all and the episiotomy was the worst. At times intercourse is painful and that really puts a damper on things. If he asks you if you want the father stitch, say NO!
