Does anyone know what these are really called? Has anyone had any experience with them? I'm just wondering because my fiance heard about them the other day, got excited and demanded that I go to the doctor and get some (well, she did demand, but she was just joking!).

I think I've heard of small plastic balls that get inserted under the skin of the shaft of the penis. Supposedly they increase sexual pleasure for both parties. If I remember right, it is practiced by "National Geographic" tribes (I forget where, but the kind you see running around the rainforest half naked on National Gegraphic channel). It's a right of manhood, they use small pebbles and make insitions in the penis and place the stones there. It is considered shameful for the person recieving the "pearls" to show any sign of pain. Like most of these "native" tribes, some of our counter-culture types have adopted a "modernized" form of this body modification using plastic balls and steril surgery tools. I know it is not the most scientific and factual read on the market, but HUSTLER Magazine did an excellent article on Yakuza Beads or Penis Pearls about 5-6 years ago, and went into the history and technique of insertion. Said that it is not for the faint of heart to do, or have done, and was heavily steeped in the history of the Yakuza (Japanese Mafia, Syndicate, etc.. ).

Nowadays, they are using surgical SS beads/ball-bearings for implantation. Know of one piercing artist in the region that is doing the procedure, just haven't gotten "the balls" up to have it done. A PA was enough for me right now.

Something tells me that maybe it wouldn't have to look so extreme and that some of the people getting these implants are doing just because it does look grotesque (just like the same people have loads of peircings and whatnot). I would want them for practical purposes (that is - pleasuring the missus). You know... ribbed for her pleasure.

It makes me wonder if a more practical shape for the implants wouldn't be hemispheres (sphere-halves) instead of whole balls? It would make them less noticible but still serve thier purpose.

If I do anything really crazy in my life anytime before I die, I want to get surgical implants in my skull so I can screw in various horns, headgear, etc. I once saw a Maury show or someone else, with this guy who had screw anchor points in his scalp and often wore a mohawk from them. I will not be sad when my hair stops growing in and I can finally be rid of it.

I have them. I got three one big pearl right under the head of the penis. Around that pearl I get some chronic inflamation. So be careful.

When I inserted it, I couldn't have sex for two months. The first time I inserted it it got rejected and I had to reinsert it on the other side of the penis.

Funny. One urologist thaught it was a wart and offered to remove it.
