i've tried the epilady (duh!) and that spray on hair remover, it burned just as bad as Neet and still didn't take off the hair. My technique for shaving is to sit for 20 minutes with a hot wet washcloth on to soften the hair up, then coat it with shaving cream, let that sit a couple of minutes then shave very slowly and gently. Never shave over a piece of skin that does not have cream on it. Once your done shaving, wash gently with a warm wet washcloth, then coat yourself in the Dove Deoderant... i bought the kind for sensitive skin. I leave this on for about an hour or so, just to make sure it's taken effect, then i shower to get ready for my date or party. After my shower, i use a good lotion and smooth it in. I only rarely get razor burn anymore, and i don't really notice the itching too bad either

sorry to write a book!

I tried bleaching my leg hair once, after experimenting with growing it out. I've never experience such an intollerable itch ever! It did lighten it, but I spent 15 minutes jumping up and down trying to prevent myself from scratching it and thus removing the stuff.

Hi all, I'm new here,Anyway I have sensitive skin and the best stuff i've found is GiGi hair removal lotion (for bikin arms and legs), you leave it on for 7 to 10 min and it will take off a unshaven CROP of hair and not hurt my skin (neet and nair burn like he!!).. You can get it at Sally Beauty Supply HTH

I tried the at home wax yourself job (ouch!), but recently I bought these mini-razors made by noxzema that have worked great along with a gel called Bikini Zone. It's helped with any irritation and has removed razor bumps.

OMG - you obviously don't have to do that every day right??
Being an Italian woman, I shave 70% of my body every day, including down there, and if I had to go through all that, I'd have to get up an hour earlier...

just spring boarding from this post.. here is a question, for those of you who are like me, more hairy or have darker hair that shows quicker than others, have you tried one of the latest minimizing lotions? I was looking at them today while I was getting some after shower powder for my daughter. I was curious about it and wanted to see what others thought before I got some. I really dont want to waste my money on yet another hair brained ( pun intended) product. On the other hand, I am all for something that keeps me from having to wax so often.

BDC...
My (adopted) father's side is Native American, and he is nearly hairless, so are all his relatives. I also work with a Native American, who shaves every 2 weeks or so, if she needs it or not...very little body hair.

Thought that native backgrounds were less hairy than their European counterparts... NO?

I am not very hairy, and the hair that is there is very fine, so maybe that had something to do with it, But the stuff didn't work at all for me.

I tried it only only on my legs, and used it religiously through almost an entire bottle, as the website explained, and NADA-Zip-Zilch- No change.

I was able to return it to Wal-greens, though and got my $12 bucks back.

They have a great policy that you can return any beauty aid for a full refund or even sometimes a double refund if you are completely dissatisfied.

I used Jergens Shave Minimizer.

I think it depends alot on what a person's total lineage is. I am biracial as to I am 1/2 cherokee and 1/2 creole, so I just lucked out in the draw of hair I suppose. I have nice thick healthy dark hair... I just tend to have to wax more often than most since mine is dark.

Default Re: Ouch! Experience with Veet bladeless shaver

Use the VEET Sensitive Skin formula. I use it on my lower half & keep the top side trimmed.

Only problem is in the groin creases, it will burn you if you leave it in there. Gotta shave that area, 'tis the only way to get the hair out of it.

After shaving my face and pubic area, I use Mennen after shave cream. Apply to hands and do face and the cock and sac. Nice and refreshing, helps with nicks, and very smooth feeling

I have the "new improved epilady" LOL Used once on legs - free to a good home.

I love Brazilian waxing. It took a few sessions to get used to it though.

Actually about that veet bladeless razor stuff, It interestingly enough works great for my body hair, I'm not too sure It's good to be using for the private areas though...

Unfortunately the thing is, that stuff is only good for some people, others will rash out, and whatnot, where as some it works great for!

You may want to try leaving it on for a shorter amount of time, then the bottle reads, which says if i'm not mistaken, no more then 3 mins...
I'd personally try leaving it on for about a min, and after that shave it with the bladeless razor, and if there is still left over hair place more on again and reshave that area...
But if even when you use it for a short time, and it still burns, for sure don't use it anymore...
