Default zits

Here is a question for you guys. I seem to get lots of zits on my bottom. I have no idea why, I don't get them on my face. But it kind of makes the thought of swinging a little embarassing for me. The thought of people seeing the zits on my bottom really bothers me. Does anyone have any advice on how to get rid of them? I have tried some creams, drinking tons of water. Any ideas? Thanks!

One of the first things you may want to try is changing laundry detergents. If you do that, be certain to wash every piece of your underwear. You might also try a different fabric softener. Are they really zits or is it heat rash? Try wearing cotton underwear instead of nylon or polyester.

You can buy some over-the-counter steroid creams that might help, but if it is a serious problem and continues, you might want to try seeing a dermatologist. They are often caused by little teeny-tiny ingrown hairs that become inflamed/infected. In that case, you may require prescription medications.

Obvioulsy, keep your bottom extremely clean, but I know you know that.

Now...why don't you register on the board so you can return to this thread and post some more - or any other threads for that matter. It's not hard to register and it's fun to be a participating member. - EBF

Dito with Elusive BiFem.

Cotten underware may help as well as wearing looser clothing. Also make sure that you are very dry before you get dressed (powder may help)

But one thing I have noticed in this lifestyle is I tend to be a lot harder on me than others are on me...

Be sure to let us know how it goes!

I'm still interested in the topic of zits.... (maybe interested is the wrong word).
Is this actually convered much on the board?
I've heard that you can get bumps on your butt from sitting on cold hard ground for too long. Or maybe that was hemerrhoids.

Oils, natural or applied can contribute to this problem. Just because your face isn't oily, doesn't mean that other body parts are not. Do you sunbathe? Slather on lotion? Go to tanning beds and use tanning sprays? Stay in moist, tight clothing after swimming? If none of those are a factor, then I would start with EBF's suggestion of changing laundry detergent and go from there.

Sometimes when you have zits your skin is too dry. Your oil glands go into overdrive trying to keep your skin moisturized. I'd try using a moisturizer that is non fragranced (because the alcohol in the fragrance can dry skin) A good moisturizer is eucerin or anything by aveeno.

I don't know if the original poster was male or female, but pantyhose can be a culprit, too. That kind of goes back to the itty-bitty ingrown types of hairs from the pantyhose rubbing back and forth on the skin, I think. Almost like a little bumpy rash. Lots of women get that on the backs of their thighs and fannies.
I still think it would be best for this person to see a dermatologist for a diagnosis.

Zits? Hmmmm... I think it's quite a legit question and a tad embarassing..(the zits..) especially if you're decked out in a new satiny thong and it's even worse for fuzzy butted guys.

so here goes...

Throw off the underwear and try not to sit so often. Wear more lightweight fabrics? I constantly have to force myself out of my office chair to keep these from popping up. Especially on hot days. Wooly sweaters seem to cause minor eruptions across my back and shoulders and are a bitch to get rid of. No fun. But I find getting out of itchy, scratchy garments and into silky lightweight things seems to help.

I really don't know a good way to cure myself of zits on da butt. I mean you can prevent most facial breakouts by trying your darndest not to touch your face. But your bottom? Jeans and underwear can rub at you in the worst way. head bang

I suppose men could take extra care not to get all sweaty but it sounds pretty much impossible especially in the South. You could dress up like Hugh Hefner and possibly avoid it all.

;-*

Hey, EBF! Who says men can't wear pantyhose too? If they're good enough for Joe Namath . . . .

Well, I guess I was just showing my sexist side, pairbond. Actually, now that I think about it, I believe I've heard of hunters wearing pantyhose to help keep them warm in the winter. Maybe?

Absolutely true, my friend. I talked my ex into trying them for warmth one hunting season many years ago and they became an official part of his gear from that point on.

Of course, he did admit they amazingly improved his driving as well! How, you ask?

Well, he drove very very carefully as he was in mortal terror of having a wreck and the paramedics discovering his choice of undergarment.

Joe Namath was definitely a leader in the field of pantyhose for football players but there is a better product on the market now. It's called "Under Armor." Not only does it keep a player warm (or cool during hot summer practices if you douse it with water) but it's tough as nails and saves an athlete from a lot of cuts and scrapes. You can find it in most sporting goods stores in black, white or school colors. If your kid plays football, buy him a set. (Wow! Practice starts in about two months!)

It's expensive as hell, but like your Porsche, "There is no substitute."

Our boys have a set of hot and cold weather underarmor...they even have the socks. The stuff is great...saved the boys from a bunch of grass rash!

I use the same stuff on my bum as I use on my face when needed. Figure if it's safe enough for my face: It should be ok for the bum. lol! Still would like to hear others input on this subject though. I think we all get these annoying things on occasion!
