Berman & Berman recently did a show abouth this. They said that if women shave or at least keep the area nicely trimmed, there was a less chance of infections, odors, etc. I prefer to shave and use Dove deodorant to eliminate the bumps. Hubby doesn't shave but does keep the area nicely trimmed.

This is directed to the women who shave the labia (not just trim, but shave)...how do you manage to do this without the use of a mirror and lots of luck? Your secrets to success?
Is there any hope for women who opt to keep the hedge neatly trimmed, not shaven?
....Or are we considered hopelessly declasse'?

Goddess,

My Man shaves me. We have a technique that we've used for years. Very warm towels, good shaving cream (preferably a menthol shaving cream) good sharp razors and visine. I rarely have stubble that can be felt, all of my body hair is very fine. Touching up is done every other day. I don't experience ingrown hairs. I like the way it feels

NightGoddess

I am not as fortunate as GirlieZ. Instead, I had your situation.

I decided on Pulsed-Light Laser hair removal and it has made all the difference. It requires three to four treatments about six weeks apart. I have had only two treatments so far and already my hair grows so slowly that I only shave about once a week and the hair is much finer now. Even when it is growing it is not coarse or irritating. Hair no longer grows at all in some areas!

You can check with a beauty salon that has these higher-end services or call a dermatologist's office.

Thank you GirlieZ and LikeMinds321!
Help with shaving makes sense....and in the long run, a permanent solution sounds pretty sweet! Imagine...no more razors! LikeMinds321, did you go for the 'all over bare' look, or can you select a 'style' when you have the pulsed laser treatments?

You decide exactly how you want to look. Just shave yourself (or better yet, have someone shave you) as you'd like to look the morning before you go in for the treatment. The technician (I don't know what she calls herself) then uses the laser on all the areas you have shaved where you no longer want hair. I have chosen to leave some hair rather than go bare all over.

Good luck to you!

Just being curious, but what sort of cost are you talking per session for Pulsed Light laser treatment?

I just new inquiring minds would want to know. I have held off stating the cost because I assume many will say, OMG!, no way would I spend that kinda money on my pussy!

Each treatment is $85.00. I expect to need four, so that will total [I'm calculating]...plus Iowa's 6% sales tax...[calculating, calculating]...precisely $360.40.

I justified the expense using superb reasoning:

1) I've been putting Washingtons in the bank for every year of my nearly 30 year marriage and I've come to a point in my life where I want to indulge myself in some personal pleasures--to include now spending money on my nails.

2) My pussy is worth it [Mr LM nods] and one day I hope some other guys and gals out there in swing world will also agree.

3) I don't smoke and I drink very little. Many people spend the same amount of money on cigarettes and alcohol in a few months as I'm spending for the total cost of the treatments.

Am I being unnecessarily defensive here?

Yep. It's your money, you've earned it, and you only get one time around the block to spend it. We all deserve a little luxury in our lives at times. So hopefully you, Mr LM and the guys and girls you're yet to play with will continue to enjoy the benefits of your treatments!

No need to feel like you have to justify what you're doing. If it's something you want and you feel you can afford it, then who is anyone to question that? It'll pay for itself before too long.

I personally would have it done in a heartbeat if I could find it that inexpesively in my area.

Besides - think of the fact that you're helping to save the environment by throwing away fewer razor blades and shaving cream bottles.

Dito - to not needing to defend yourself.

We all have our little pleasures and indulgences, so I say go for it if you have or can set aside the money for it. I get my nails done too and this weekend since it is summer I got a pedicure. I have actually looked into the pulsed light lazer surgery or other similar options and you can bet if and when I could afford it I would do it and gladly be rid of razors, creams, and irritating regrowth!!

Besides like Mr LM - Mr Spoo likes it when I pamper myself (whatever it is). The theory here is if we feel good about ourselves . . . boy does it help with the 'bad girl' feeling. And you all know what I am talking about

They are talking about uping my salary at the zoo... But I was hoping to buy pants... Oh well - that can wait...

Personally, I think she'll look like a really funny monkey with a bald patch down there, and I would have to go back to the circus to be able to afford getting all of her done... She's cute, but furry...

Although, I am looking for investors in my monkey business. Any suggestions?

I thought female monkeys had hair everywhere BUT on their genitalia. Just the opposite of us humans. I may be wrong here, but I don't think so. I have fond memories from childhood visits to the zoo where I was awestruck by the genitalia of monkeys.

Regarding your "monkey business" Mr. Spoo, I'll help pay for your pants, but only if you take them off when I ask you to.

Mrs Spoomonkey

Dear, if you didn't come into this world as smooth down under as the rest of your monkey girlfriends, I'll be glad to help pay for your laser-light hair removal treatments. We "bad girls" have got to stick together.

It's a deal... After all - they'd technically be your pants... And who am I to keep wearing your pants when you ask for them... Let me just say

Personally, I just don't like a hairy woman. As far as I'm concerned she might as well have hairy legs and arm pits. Just not my cup of tea.
