I can certainly ask them via PM you would rather. Sure you are welcome to message me anytime!

Probabally 4.5 years ago she decided (note she not I) to have a BA. She has not had any complications to date. She did loose some sensation but most of it has returned. She says she would not trade her tits for triple the sensation. She did lots of research on implantinfo and we traveled to a doctor in Richmond Va. If you go to the site and look up Richmond you will see him. Now for me do I like them HELL YES! They are awesome! |

What do ya'll think? I always wonder...this woman in the story has been diagnosed with MS...is she just looking for something to blame the disease on? And a natural reaction, I might add. I think I would, too. Anyway...interesting I thought. - EBF The Food and Drug Administration is looking into new claims of illnesses caused by breast implants. Breast implant surgery is the second most popular cosmetic surgery, and millions of women have had the procedure. Now, some are alleging a metal found in all breast implants is toxic. In the 1980s, silicone breast implants were blamed for a variety of illnesses. Those claims resulted in an FDA ban for general use 11 years ago. However, scientific studies since then have cleared silicone as the culprit. Also Online Video:Janet St. James reports Marlene Keeling believes, however, it was something else in the implant that sapped her energy, caused shooting pains in her legs, and affected her memory. "It released significant amounts of platinum," Keeling said. "My blood, urine, sweat, hair and nails were all tested and they contained significant amounts of platinum." Platinum is used to bind the shell of silicone gel and saline implants. Dr. Ernest Lykissa also uses it in his toxicology lab, where he keeps it in a special sealed container. Said Lykissa, "You know why I have it in this container? I wouldn't dare open it unless I have personal protection." Lykissa has tested small groups of women for platinum poisoning, including 32 women with ruptured implants. Of those, almost half had high platinum levels—as much as 60 percent higher than women who didn't have silicone implants. "I wouldn't let my dog have these things in him," Lykissa said. Platinum has been used for years in dentistry and in medical devices, including pacemakers. It can also be found in pollution. However, researchers doubt normal exposure is great enough to cause the high platinum levels found in women with ruptured implants. As president of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, UT Southwestern's Dr. Rod Rohrich acknowledges platinum leaches into surrounding breast tissue, but said the substance has never been linked with specific illnesses. "We do advocate further study because we care about our patients," Rohrich said. For now, the Food and Drug Administration's official stance said platinum "does not pose a risk." "Certainly, I thought if a doctor is putting them in me, they're safe," said patient Yvonne Perkins. Perkins doesn't think so anymore. She's been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, and has tested positive for an extremely toxic type of platinum. She wants young women willing to have surgery to get a better body to see the price they might eventually pay. Doctors are still allowed to use silicone gel implants on patients who need breast reconstruction. The FDA recently considered approving silicone implants for general use again, but they haven't yet given it clearance. Some speculate the agency refused to make silicone available to the general public until researchers are sure platinum isn't a health risk—and FDA officials continue to investigate claims of platinum poisoning. |

I have always had a bad self esteem and being a larger sized woman with virtually zilch for breasts made getting clothing impossible. Everything bunched in the chest area and it was so frustrating that I would end up crying every time I left a store empty handed. I wore "boy clothes" simply because I couldn't find anything feminine that would allow for smaller breasts on a bbw body. I went to a D cup from a barely A cup. My mother had a fit when she first found out. But when she saw what I actually had, she was shocked and said how natural they looked as well as how it suited me to be more uniform in size everywhere. I can now buy a pretty dress and know it will fit, as well as me feeling good IN it I had one thing done differently and I recommend it highly. Most breast augmentations are done under the pectoral muscle for protection of the saline sacks. My pectorals are way high on my shoulders and they couldn't do it that way. Mine were placed under the regular breast tissue. I like this much better because they don't look like a couple of basketballs... they look real, feel real, move real. People who have known me for years and have seen me naked often have no clue they are fake. Of course, now if they see this posting, they will... hahahah. Talk to your doc about this and see if they will consider this option. It's given me no problems and most good docs will give you the option for it. It's much more natural looking and I highly recommend it, but go with what you and your doc decide. Be happy with your choice ![]() Hugs, n kisses, n licks! Karin ![]() |

She feels sexier, and has a better body image. It wasn't my idea (I've always loved her for her, not her tits), but I didn't discourage her, either. If it makes you feel better about yourself, and you're doing it for yourself, and you can afford it, then by all means do it. Someone mentioned an allergic reaction to the tape. That can be a real issue, as Sexy had the same problem, and her scars are definitely more pronounced than we expected, but she's still 1000000000000% SEXY .On a serious note, someone else also said something along the lines of "If you have 5000 dollars to spend, spend it to help a deformed kid." Great sentiment to be sure, but being a Shriner, all I can say is that's what we're for. 100% FREE medical care to kids with birth defects and other deformities. Stray & Sexy |

| T-Town Playmates Join Date: May 2001 Posts: 6,126 Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma Status: Married to Mrs. Alura | I was told a few years ago, by a friend who had them, that implants can be done in such a way as to make mammograms still reliable. I don't know the details but suggest this is a good question for your surgeon. Since a mammogram saved Mrs. Alura's life, I believe in them and hope you won't do anything that might make them less effective. Mrs. Alura, like EBF, doesn't need breast augmentation nor reduction, in my opinion. Mr. Alura |

Status: Single Male | This is a very dated thread that I am latchting onto .... but I am looking for some 1st hand experience rather than opinions ... Suana's? - how do silicone implants react/cope with temps that rise to 100C? should I advise my gf to stay away? Is there an issue here? I am not of the scientific world, so have no idea as to boiling points & danger levels etc. This is a very straightforward question, certainly not titilstion! M. |
