Brazilian Wax

I've never had one (shaver) and am considering getting one. Any thoughts/opinions/advice?

I love them, smooth as silk, but heed this advice (seriously). Make sure your technician is not phobic about pussy or you will be guaranteed hairbumps.

My usual tech (another thread exists on this very subject) is tremendous. However, once in her absence I used another tech who apparently is a little pussy-phobic, she would not come in close, handle or smooth the muslin strips properly (over my lips) and it ended up hurting when she did the removal and I further ended up with bumps.

Oh - one more thing - it will hurt like hell right over you mond venus the first time only.

How do you find a quality technician? Are their professional organizations? What are the costs? I am interested in either having Brazialian Wax or Laser Hair removal. The pricing of Brazilian wax will help me decide. Thank you in advance for your reply

Word of mouth (pardon the pun) is how you find a good tech. Brazillian is approx $35 incl. tip every 3rd to 4th week. Laser is approx $265 per square inch.

Down in New Orleans laser hair removel goes for 600.00 for pubic & underarms combined. I am going for the Laser

I have heard that the Brazilian hurts real bad. I guess if you have the right person doing it and you can handle pain then you have nothing to lose.

Yes, if you can handle about 20 sudden stings when the wax is pulled off. I had my first one done today, and am very happy with it. Worth the little pain that's suffered.

Who would I seek to do this for me? I am almost certain most of the salons around here won't let a man do this, or am I mistaken?

At the salon I went to he said they do 5 guys a day. Go in or ring them and ask. I'm sure they'd do anyone willing to pay, after all that's what they're in business for.

How long does the hair have to be to get it done...I don't want to wait for 3 weeks of hair growth...I would just continue to shave.
