How do you explain that you "shave"

My question to the ones that shave; woman but primaryly the men.

When you are at the gym/locker room or with "vanila" friends that might see you nude.

Question: How do you explain or do you, that you shave?

Women that shave is more common than men that shave, women get Brazilian shave job's, bikini waxing etc. Most men will get ridiculed, laughed at etc. for shaving.

Men, how do you explain the reason that you shave to the "vanila" world?

Simple. My wife likes it that way, just like I like her's bare and smooth. That response generally leaves them wishing their wives were like mine!

I don't say anything unless asked. And have never had a negative comment. In my previous gym in the DC area there were several men who shaved. Here there is only one other.

As for being laughed at or ridiculed, I've never had it done and I've been shaving for about 10 years now. And I'd probably either laugh back, or suggest that we step outside if they were acting like a complete jerk (and this isn't something most people are going to take me up on as I can carry quite an attitude when I get pissed and have the size to back it up). Of course, the other option is always to outwit them, and the merits of receiving great oral wouldn't hurt either.

Anyway, the main thing is to just be yourself. Be confident of who you are and not worry what others think.

Y'know ... in all my time at gyms or whatever - MOST guys don't really go so far as to ask you about your personal hygene or even make any comments about parts of you that they've seen while you're naked.

It might just be a homophobic thing or simply a fear of being seen as possibly homosexual to even acknowledge you've seen the other guy in the nude.

I think the closest I've ever heard anyone commenting was if someone had a tattoo or other body-art

The one time I got asked I said that all my women liked me that way and just smiled. That left them real unsure of whether or not I was serious.

No one never asked me. However, not too many guys are going to comment on your genitals usually. I think it's a homophob thing with most guys, but if they do: I suppose I would have to answer with: "Oh I just can't stand the chewbaca thing" and may even throw a joke in like "besides the wife doesn't get any hairs stuck in her teeth either." I would think it was odd if they pressed the issue after that.

Not having any vanilla friends, we don't have a proper frame of reference to answer this question. However, Greg got an unusual reaction from his co-workers when he casually mentioned his scrotum shaving during a conversation about shaving in general. He worked for a chain of adult stores, so explicit talks about sex were not unusual in this office, but he colleagues still thought that this tidbit was too much information.

Magnum, do your vanilla friends really check out your bits that closely in the locker room?

The only time I have been asked was by my doctor during a physical exam. Then is was "Are you shaved because of a recent surgery or for personal preference?"

I just can't even imagine someone asking that in a gym locker room or vanilla setting! I mean I've looked at some hairy bushes in the locker room and thought "OMG! How does she NOT shave that thing?" but I just can't imagine asking someone something that personal. Then again I'm not friends with any of the women I encounter in the locker room either. Maybe it's more of a guy thing and just part of the typical "locker room" type discussions that they have. I think most women are so "discreet" about things like that that they don't even want to get naked in the locker room let alone let someone know / think they were looking at them while they got naked.

I don't think we would talk about another guy's nut sack and shaving with other guys e.g. Did ya'll see Jim's balls? They were shaved and looked so smooth and round and his shaft just looked longer than usual.

I would imagine that if you have reached the stage in life where you and your wife are into the lifestyle why would you give a crap about what anyone thinks.
