Default No!No! Hair Removal System?

Just saw this on HSN the other night and we were wondering if anyone here had tried it yet? It claims to work via some sort of heat thing and if you use it 2-3 times/wk after about 6 months you rarely ever need to use it.

I googled it. Talk about pricey! It might be worth it if it works though. Imagine it. Smooth, without pain or ingrowns for him and her

Average review on Amazon seems to be a 3 star.

, Julie... Didn't even think about googling it. I seriously didn't think the name of it was No!No!Hair removal system either. Jeez, what a buffoon I am sometimes.

Yeah, it's dang expensive. With only 3 stars I doubt I'd buy it. I was thinking about that conair sanding disc thing though.

Reading the actual reviews is rather interesting. In the top 3 reviews only one was really negative. The third review was rating it for use on the face (which they actually sais on HSN that it's not rated for use (safety) for removal of facial hair. However, this review is saying that it works well for their facial hair (sounds like a female with chin hair so maybe female chin hair isn't the same consistancy as male facial hair?).

Most of the other negative reviews I read seem to have a different idea of what the product is supposed to do than what (from what I understand it does). The way I understood it (and based on the positive reviews, what it does) is that it over time reduces the number of hairs that grow in, not so much slowing down hair growth, or making it grow back slower, but that over time fewer and fewer hairs grow back. Most of the negative reviews seem to be under the assumption that it should be making their hair grow in slower and because it doesn't do that, they give up quickly.

This was a 2 Star rating that I found pretty interesting...

Quote:
I see a lot of 5 and 1-star reviews, and I think people are overreacting in both cases. I've been using it on my legs and bikini area for about 2 months, and here's what I've found:

Pros: It's cheaper than waxing, hair definitely grows back slower and less dense, and between it and the buffing, my legs have never looked smoother.

Cons: It still leaves stubble that you can feel if you run your hand over the skin, it takes a very long time to use (I usually do it while watching TV just to keep from getting bored), and the razors burn out way too quickly.

So if you hate going in for waxes and have time to spare, the NoNo might be worth it. However, the high initial price plus the cost of replacement razors made me knock it down an extra star. The fact that I paid $250.00 and will need to keep paying $21.00 every few months to keep using it makes it feel like a scam, especially considering that its results are far from perfect. I would be much happier with the product if the makers adjusted one or both of those prices.
Evidently, you have to buy refills of the hot blades as they burn out over time. With that addition to the price it's not really cheaper than shaving or any other option.
