Beard or no Beard

Ok all After 20+ years of having a full beard I shaved it last week. Its boring sitting around here all the time letting hip heal.
So my question is should I grow it back or keep it shaved. Red can't decide what she likes. She says I look like my Dad back when he was clean shaved(he looks like santa now).
So I have attached 4 different pictures 1 shaved 3 bearded everywhere from trimmed very short to wild.

I have actually been clean shaved, for as many years as you have been bearded.

I did sport the five o clock shadow many a day. My known feedback being "Ouch, you need to shave, dang it !"

Over the past few months. Like you, I have been experimenting with different trims, cuts, and styles. None, of which I'm happy with. I have been wearing a mustache and sole patch for now. Lost the beard, when I had to get refitted for wearing a self contained breathing apparatus. And actually, got sex just for doing so....

The mustache is actually kind of giving me an icky feeling if I drink out of a glass.

I don't know what the hell I want. I hope you have an easier time with this than I have.

The beard for me is so much easier. But after many years is is kind of nice to be clean shaved. So far the discomfort of shaving hasn't been to bad. I haven't shaved the mustache yet. But keep thinking about it. I hope to decide between now and January when I go back to work. My main thing is when I trim the beard short is it uncomfortable for Red and it does poke her alot. But when its longer its a major tickler. In my line of work I can have it how ever I want it. I personally would love a long beard but mine is to curly and grows forward instead on growing down.

I had a full beard and mustache until September of '07. I got rid of it because it just kept getting whiter and whiter and whiter... I'm only 47, but I looked like my grandfather.

Lin loved my beard, but it caused 2 distinct reactions from women - either oooooohhh or ewwwwwww. Every woman I was with was amazed at how soft and silky it actually was, and not scratchy at all. I had more than one comment that it was nice to feel something soft and silky 'down there' rather than razor stubble. Yes it did tickle some women in sensitive areas, but they almost always liked that part.

I ended up shaving off the beard and still have the mustache. In fact, I shaved the beard off in a goofy sort of way. I went down on Lin one last time with it. After she came, I got up and shaved it off. I went down on her again with a smooth face, and she went nuts. She got two different sensations, one right after the other, and never had to get dressed up, meet with a second man, or anything...

I'm a sucker for a goatee, especially one that is well maintained and in the 'just right' phase of growth. This gives me plenty of bare skin to kiss during intimacies while providing the ohhhhhhhh! affect when being kissed on either of my err....lips.

I just approved your pictures and I too voted before looking at the pictures... but my vote still stands - no beard! I'm not a big fan of facial hair in general, so by default I would choose no beard

With the pictures the best one was just the moustache. A slightly full trimmed beard also looked okay. The two day growth beard and the scruffy bear wasn't nearly as good.

I personally have a large bushy goatee. I like this style now. Elaine sometimes has her own ideas about it, but let's me keep what is comfortable for me. I have also had the big bushy beard. I like bushy for myself.

For me personally, I normally like a maintained goatee. But the kicker is, some styles just don't look flattering on all men.

Your pic with just the moustache looks fine....the beard (particuarly the scruffy 'look like I forgot to shave for 2 weeks' one) doesn't work all the way. The pic where it's longer, but trimmed looks ok.

Just go with what you are comfortable with.

Well its growing back. We talked and Red she preferred I grow it back as long as I keep it well trimmed. I have been keeping it shaved and even shaved off the mustache. But as always for me the skin starts to break out and sometimes it really painful. We tried several different creams and razors and nothing helped. I am lucky enough to have very soft hair and Red likes the feel of my soft facial hair over razor stubble. Now to get it grown back in enough for it not to feel like sandpaper. Thanks for all the input.

Personally I have never been a fan of a beard. Some do look okay with a goatee.
I looked at the pics and I voted no beard.

If I remember correctly, the last time I shaved was in 1977. I did so for two days. On the third, I started growing my beard back. It's just too painful.

Mrs. Alura likes beards and it's a damned good thing 'cause if she didn't we would have passed like ships in the night back in 1980. She has never seen me clean shaven, nor does she want to.

Growing a beard is ecologically responsible, not to mention thrifty. There is no outlay for razor blades, aftershave, shaving cream, and all the other stuff one needs that eventually must end up in the sewer or landfill. I've used the same hair clipper to trim my beard for twenty years.

If a woman rejects me because she doesn't like beards, well... life's like that. I'll survive and she'll never feel my beard between her thighs. Of course, she'll probably not care. We'll get along quite well, never having gotten to know each other.

Yes I have never had complaints about my beard from any of my few past partners. I do remember at a strip joint on time the stripper rubbed hey pussy in my face then squealed loadly that Ooohhh That tickled and did it some more. It was great and well worth the dollar.

Ok Red here, I prefer the beard...can not stand the stubble and I don't care how much you shave that crap, it is still rough for some guys. Crazi also has an issue with breaking out, so since I don't mind the beard, I told him to let it grow back out!
