And what do you do in the meantime? Do you just let it grow and then as soon as it's long enough go get waxed again? Or do you do something else to maintain it so that you don't have to go as often.... or am I the only woman here who could seriously go get waxed every 3 weeks!!!???? I just got waxed less than 2 weeks ago and there's already enough growth that I want to shave BADLY! But I shaved in between the last wax jobs and when I went back to get waxed again I was told by the aestatician that I shouldn't shave in between. Well at this rate I'm going to need to be waxed again in another week. I'm about ready to just go back to shaving altogether! |

I have thought about waxing for a while now but I am afraid of just that. My friends who wax regularly wait 5-6 weeks in between and you're not going to believe this...they actually PLUCK (ouch!) the hairs in between waxing for the same reason you said, they get yelled at for shaving in between waxing (they have been doing it a long time with little regrowth) ...no thanks..I"ll stick to shaving for now..Does anyone else have any other ideas...I love the idea of a smooth coochie after a waxing but I worry about the in between. Right now we're experimenting with hard wax for the Brazilian, and it's frustrating as hell! My husband has been waxing me for years, and he's damn good at it, but this new kind of wax is throwing him a bit. Hard wax does a much better job, but seems more difficult to apply. We still use a cream wax for my legs and underarms. |

My thought yesterday in the shower was that I'd just pluck... but damn there was a lot to pluck already! |

| Swingers Board Addict | I used to get waxed about once a month or so. It was a pretty costly habit, but I really liked the results. I found that if you pluck when you first notice a hair, it's easier upkeep (like if I was at home I would check every time I went to the bathroom) and makes the waxing feel like it lasts longer. Personally, I liked the in between growth because it tends to come back in 'fluffier' and not as coarse of hair. But I think the noticibly quick regrowth happens when you first start doing it...over time the hairs grow in thinner and sparser. By the time I would go in for that 4-5 week visit, I was about to go crazy to at least trim the stuff...but because the hairs grow back in cycles (you may notice it growing back in patches) they want to give all the follicles time to go thru a growth cycle before waxing it off again (otherwise you go for a wax and in a few days you have big patches growing back in that didn't get caught in the wax). Once I start back to work I plan on starting to wax on a regular basis again.

| Great Times 1 Year Exp. | Look for Poetic wax kits to use at home. We have a salon wax kit (electric pot) and this one. Poetic is easier to use, in my opinion. It's a good alternative until you get laser. There is also plucking with tweezers, if hubby is willing. Ouchie! Mrs. D |

Doesn't anybody just like a neatly trimmed fluffy turf of bush which to excite your man? And, "no", I'm not trying to start a poll, but that might not be a bad idea. I'd hate to think I was a minority of one! Alternatively, for me at least, there is nothing worse than having to plow through a brillo pad! Anyone know that joke as to why God made women's public hair curly? |

I only wish it were public as I do have a fine appreciation for such things. Now for the joke: It has to do with knowing for sure that God loves man. You can tell that because God made women’s public hair curly. That’s so it doesn’t poke man’s eyes out. |

I love the smell of this stuff! And the box is so cute. I put it on the stove and it took about an hour to melt. About 20 minutes in to melting a smiley face appeared with beady eyes (picture attached - I decided to highlight the dark little eyes by adding yellow dots in photoshop). I couldn't tell if this was a good smiley or a jokester ready to give me a bad time. Things started out good, then after the second strip came off I noticed I was bruised, and badly. I bruise easily so maybe this is going to be a problem for me. Anyway, I decided to stop. I would have included a pic of the results but "pink" isn't allowed on the Board and I don't think purple and red are either. ![]() LM Last edited by LikeMinds321 : 08-07-2008 at 01:19 PM. | |
