| Swingers Board Addict | Okay ladies! I am scheduled for my first yearly check up after having my hood pierced and now although I am comfortable with people seeing it in the LS, now I am just not sure how comfortable I will be at the gyno office. I am sure that nothing will be said but I am just curious if any of you that have your hood peirced, did you get any comments from the gyno regarding the piercing in general such as questions asked as to why? Did you feel uncomfortable the first time to the doctors office? Just curious if I am the only one that has thought of this before going to the gyno or not. Thanks, MrsVan |

So, he basically knows me. He first commented on the tongue ring when I got sick once. But no big deal. Then with ink on my body, he actually asked me some questions.(he wanted one) I had a hysterectomy May 2005.(medical problems) Got my hood pierced 2 mths after. He actually laughed and asked what was next, my nose, eyebrows, or breast. I said who knows. I think I got over being embarrassed or uncomfortable when he examined me and i had started shaving/waxing. But, I can be blunt at times.. so maybe that helps. Your doc may ask you some questions, but doubt it. Mine was more concerned with me tanning, than my ink or rings. Good Luck with doc appt and let us know how it goes. I have wondered how it would be if I got a mammogram and had got my nipples done. But thats not going to happen.lol |

Mrs V, I wouldnt worry at all. The dr is a professional and will not mention it I am sure.

| Swingers Board Addict | The only thing that my doctor said to me was, 'Got some new additions?'....that was my first visit after having the twins pierced. And he just asked if I was taking care of them so they would heal properly. He said nothing on my next visit when I had the hood piercing. I can't help but wonder if he thinks, 'oh lord, wonder what she's had done now...' ![]() He and his staff are professional and have never said anything untoward about my various decorations. I asked her once if she saw a lot of piercings, and she said not a lot, but certainly some. She actually enjoyed talking to the women about them ... what made them decide to do it, why they liked it, etc. And my mother is pretty straight-laced. Her usual concern was, "what if the ring gets stuck on clothing and pulls?" Then she'd shiver. HAHAHA. |

Indeed. There is nothing they have not seen. And quite frankly at the end of the day, they cannot remember what all they looked at or saw or what it had (pierced, shaved, etc). All they want to do is go home, grab a cold one, plop down in the easy chair and forget about their day (kinda like the rest of us). | |

I was trying to stop talking to the doc before she went down for the exam to "warn" her, but she was quicker. Popped right back up red faced and, well, that was embarassing to say the least. Doc made no biggee over it or anything, but I don't want any uncomfortableness while in that postion . They don't emabarass me per say, but their connations are sexual, not just decoration. Same goes for my nipple rings. |

When she started med school, they had an orientation which she refers to as a fuck-o-rama. They would talk about virtually anything and everything they might encounter. So don't worry. I often wonder, if you are concerned about body piercings being seen, why have them? |

I forgot all about having them in until the Doc said something about them. Needless to say I was a little embarrassed but she just asked general health questions about them and let it go.

| Swingers Board Addict | Thanks everyone for the advise! It actually went better than what I thought and the doctor said nothing. It was not that I was ashamed to have the piercing as I am very proud of it cause I love my piercing however, my concern was that the "normal" woman outside of the LS does not have their hood pierced. So I figured by having the piercing would kind of be a sign to my gyno that maybe I am in the LS. I guess it wouldn't be a bad thing but I still do not want him to know this without me offering the information. I appreciate everyone's input on this. MrsVan |
