Shaved or Unshaved Pussies

It seems that the latest trend for women at least is to clean shave the pubic hair around her vaginal opening. When one goes to nudist and/or swinger resorts almost every woman is clean shaven. Same is true when one watches "Ms Nude" competitions, i.e., almost all participants have their pussies shaven.

If we remember from say 10 years ago, watching nude women at clotthing optional resorts, most women sported a bush-some full and some trimmed around the bikini line. Shaved pussies were hardly the norm.

We are wondering if this is a general trend, that is, most all women shave regularly their pubic hair. It is hard to say for sure whether or not your normal nonswinger/nonnudist neighbors or women shopping at the supermarket have shaved pussies since you don't get to see them nude. I asked my wife if her coworkers shaved and she said she never asked-the topic never came up.

Frankly, we feel that a woman with a natural full bush or a nicely trimmed bush looks much sexier (his personal opinion) than one with no pubic hair. At nudist and swinger resorts European women generally sport a full bush and they look sexier. American females are almost all fully shaved with no or very little pubic hair to show, with some exceptions.

Or is this a matter of hygiene for the female? But then in good old days the woman left her pubic hair intact. We agree that from a man's perspective a shaved pussy is certainly easier to kiss around the vulva and at the clitoris.

Myself... I used to only trim my hair, I am naturally EXTREMELY bushy. Left untended I could actually braid my hair.... problem is, when it gets that long, the hair knots up and pulls and after a while it gets fairly painful. So I have always kept it neatly trimmed at the very least....

One day after DH & I had been together for a while, I decided that I could no longer stand HIS long hair, so I laid him down and pulled out the scissors... needless to say, he was VERY nervous... once I finished though he discovered that it was much more comfortable and held less odor... he decided he liked being neatly trimmed as well....

Then one day out of curiosity, we decided to shave each other just to see what it felt like... we have been shaving each other ever since.

For us now, it's a matter of comfort and hygiene and as I mentioned in this thread intimacy as well...

I keep mine trimmed. I have gone bare once or twice. I don't like when it grows back because of the itch and burn. My SO likes it bare so I do try to do it. I will have to find a better way... like waxing. I am just too scared to rip that patch of myself.

Yes, it's a general trend. My female coworkers were pretty open with talk sometimes. Also, there is the gym, and talk in the salons. Just last week when I went in for a pedicure, I was in a conversation with regular vanilla women about how we need a salon around here where we could get a Brazilian wax (everything waxed down there).

Yes, for many of us who do, one reason is hygiene. It's much easier to keep that area fresh with no hair. Odor can cling easier when hair is there.

Yes! This is true from a woman's perspective too, regarding both men and women. Oral sex is much more pleasant and easier when giving attention to the whole area (especially a man's balls) when the area is smooth. facelick Oral sex is a big deal to many people. Who doesn't want to be on the receiving end of some thorough oral attention? It can make a big difference. Monogamous people love oral sex, too (why you see it everywhere these days).

you may want to try and keep a razor in the shower and just shaving it every day girl. This is what I do, and it works great in keeping the itchy stubble down because its pretty much never there. Just soap it up right before you wash and shave. Its very fast and easy.

I think each person has to decide what works for them. If you like to shave or wax, do it. If it drives you nuts and hurts or itches and you wish you didn't 'have to' do it...you don't have to. You do have a choice.

If you choose to have hair, find people who don't mind or like hair.

Had an interesting discussion with another couple recently that we know. They actually have an "Open Relationship" but don't swing together and don't know we swing (although they probably suspect - hence the topic of our conversation).

We were discussing (over a beer in our local) the shaving of pubic hair.

He, it turns out doesn't shave or trim at all (far too macho - lol).

She trims, but won't shave.

We both trim and shave as our mood takes us.
