Default What is "shaved"?

I know what clean shaven means...

But - when I shave "everything" it looks a little weird because I have body hair - so a bald pubic region looks a little goofy...

I DO shave everything that is typically "used"; balls, my shaft down to the base and the regions even a bit lower (you just never know what sort of freaks you'll run into out there ). And while I trim my "patch" I don't shave it - to avoid the "weird" look. I could shave all of my body hair, but I'm afraid I'd look like a husky cub scout...

Is this still "clean shaven" or am I just trimmed?

I'm going to go with trimmed.

If a woman shaves all but a runway, even though she shaved part of it, it's still referred to as trimmed. And likewise, if she goes totally bare, then she is shaved.

I think the same rules apply to men. Even if you shaved, if you have trimmed hair left, you just trimmed it.

We'd probably just say "shaved below and trimmed above" to describe what you just explained. The way you groom is exactly the way Mr. Tybee does it, and for me, it's just right. Personally, I don't like the everything shaved look on men down there, like you said the blank patch looks funny next to the body hair.

I agree - you'd be considered 'trimmed'. I don't reallly see the difference between 'clean shaved' and 'shaved'.

Yep, I'd say that what you described is trimmed. For me, shaved means that there's nothing there at all.

LOL! It's too bad I'll likely never even see your trim or shave/trim handiwork, we live so far apart!

I was just recalling that "shaved below and trimmed above" was how I've described it many times before, and everybody understands what we mean. I mostly sported my own that way for quite awhile, until this year. Now you can just call me smoothie.

This is a good question! Because although I have a landing strip and am shaved other than that, I would think it would still be considered shaved however I do understand where everyone is coming from where it would be considered trimmed as there is still some hair there..

I would say that you are then trimmed but would think that it would be considered clean shaven. The last thing I want when giving a guy a bj, is so much hair that it ends up getting in my mouth and throat and can become a turn off for me. But as long as the areas are shaved/trimmed for me to play with, then that is all that matters. facelick

Haven't been around a lot lately, so I missed this thread the first time through.

I shave in the same manner, and I think it deserves it's own name.

"High & Tight" should be the name, as it is similar to the military hair style many of our soldiers wear; trimmed short on top, shaved on the sides and back.
--That would be on their head that sits on their shoulders.

Mr two4you

EDIT: Here's a GIS for "High and Tight"

To answer your questions, I would call that shaved. When I'm thinking of shaved, I'm thinking of the "goods" themselves. The little flat part above the "goods" doesn't count. For men, that is. I have a WHOLE different standard for women. I've always thought that trimmed meant hair everywhere, but it's shaped a little and kept short. *shrugs*

At the risk of sounding ridiculously stupid (I feel like I can sound stupid around you guys - I love you all!) are there guys out there that actually HAVE hairy shafts? Like the shaft itself? I've seen my share of shafts in my day and not a single one has had hair on it. Not in real life, not in porn, not anywhere. But if you've got one Spoo, I wouldn't mind a peek I'm curious now. Is it purple too?

Well - I am not exactly sure what you are asking for, but I'll show it to you and you can tell me if it is a hairy shaft or not... I think that is a good plan. Oh - and it is usually purple... A swollen, angry purple that looks up at you and says, "wazzup?"

I'm usually shaved below and trimmed above. I shave the balls and shaft, but trim the pubes so I don't look pre-pubescent. (That can be a problem for those of us who are "growers")

Anyway, that's "shaved" to me, and if a woman says she is shaved, I expect everything hair-free except maybe a "landing strip" or similar. Actually, as long as the area is trimmed, that usually adds to my happiness.

In the 1990s, before I got into the lifestyle, I was pretty active in the masters swim scene. I shaved EVERYTHING except my head, eyebrows, armpits, and a few pubes, for some national and international masters swim meets I participated in. Shaving might not have made me swim faster (although I DID swim my fastest times at those events) but I was slippery as an eel. The effect was eerie. And sex was...fantastic!

Add a little bit of massage oil and sex was...REALLY fantastic!

Anyway, I still shave the "naughty bits" at this point, but an overall shave like the "old days" (15 years ago) would require...oh...maybe a can of good sensitive-skin shaving cream, some excellent razors, and some promises that I think would be very difficult to keep.

Prove me wrong?
