Default How groomed is nicely groomed?

Since there is already a topic up about grooming and I didn't want to hijack the thread, I'll post my question in this one.

How groomed is most appealing? I know I've got a bit of hair that seems like it tries to grow everywhere! A little on the shaft, some on the balls, and the normal area around all the way up to my navel. Even a bit up the backside. How groomed should I make it?

I'm ok with just about anything as long as people like it. Although I don't know how I would trim up my backside, and I'd think it would itch something terrible.

And now that I am almost 30 I'm even getting some on my back! Do you scissors that or what?

I do value personal maintenance so any input it just great.

Thanks,
Mr. Truelove

On men, I prefer the grooming to be smooth at the base of the penis and the balls, because my mouth is going to be there and I don't want to eat hair. Everything else I like more natural-looking on a man, as long as he's not too hairy. Trimming of the pubic area above is good, depending on how much hair he naturally has there.

It's natural for men to have some hair on their backs as they get older. Sometimes it's just a little fine hair. But if it's enough to bother a man or if he's really hairy, men can go to salons to get their backs waxed. They could do it at home if they have someone help them.

If I shave the hair on the shaft it seems like hours before it starts getting a little stubble though, and I thought stubble on the shaft would be uncomfortable. (Actually my wife can attest to that. ) Maybe i'll just try trimming it close with scissors, but that sometimes appears to create the same stubble effect.

As for my back it's very very light.

We don't like beards because they are stiff, course hairs and feel gruffy but all other hair is okay with us both.

Body hair is no big deal. I (the lady) prefer a good amount of chest hair because it's manly and hot. Ungroomed genital hair is fine, the hair is soft and doesn't leave abrasions like stubble does. Back hair is also a-okay.

Hair is natural; we prefer natural to completely shaved.

I really don't pay attention to it unless there is an excessive amount of hair that really makes me go ewwww lol. Seriously, normal hair is no problem for me at all. I supposed since I prefer men with hair its less of an issue lol, but its just not something I notice very much.

NOW regarding hair on backs. Okay, it is true that men do grow some hair as they grow older. But man, if you have alot of hair PLEASE wax it off! Now, back hair to me IS a turn off.

I never understood why back hair puts people off. Someone please explain it to me.

I have no idea, but it does. I'll be honest. Now, I'm talking about excessive hair. It does though for me, its like "dude, please get rid of the hair on your back!"

Well this is what I do. I shave above with an electric razor and then trim the longer hairs on my stomache every no and then.

The shaft and sack, MrsVan helps me there. We use either Nair or some other cream and she applies it and then cleans it off for me. To be honest, it seems to be growing back lighter and lighter each time. For a day or so after she does it, I can be a little sore, but she prefers the clean feeling and since she likes to help out, why not.

That's kinda where I'd like to know more of... HOW do people who do groom, get the job done. I normally just trim mine back to about an inch long with scissors in all the Really bushy areas about once a month or so (same frequency I clip my hair and trim my beard ~ oh, and LONG beard hair is far from harsh feeling, my wife Loves the soft feeling when I rub it on her nipples.. ). I've used liquid hair removal creams on my sack, but have found that it burns and is uncomfortable. I've tried shaving ~ don't go there. and electric trimmers are only Slightly less scary.

The only idea left is waxing.... normally, that would have scared the poo outta me, but I read an article somewhere about a guy who went through it for an office bet (I think it was Playboy, FWIW) and said it really wasn't all that bad. I'm thinking I may try that... already have the wax for my wife (she feels better about herself when completely bare).

That is, unless someone else wants to speak up about products they've used with good success. I particularly enjoy the feeling of a bald sac (and the attention from my wife when it's bare).

Please let me know when MrsVan plans to open a salon. Zinzinnati may be a long drive for me but it might be doable...depending on the services offered...

If she wants to expand her business, remind her that Columbus isn't that far away. As a Burgher, I think I could find reason to travel to the center of Ohio for certain grooming services, and I'm sure she would find some other "hair care" patrons there that are also on this Board!

Well everytime I've gone for a closer than trimmer cut I have always tried shaving, to surprisingly good resuts, no cuts so far *crosses fingers* *knocks on wood*.

Chemicals kinda bother me, I wouldn't want anything that may someday bother the nerve endings. I might try it I don't know.

I hate to go there but what about butt hair? is it acceptable because I'd really really rather not go there. I seriously would rather take a razor to my privates.

Thrax,

I never thought of that....I think that would be a great idea facelick I might even throw in an extra bonus to the guys that come for grooming services...

I love helping MrVan as it not only keeps him clean shaven, but he gets pretty turned on when I do it and I have to say I get just as turned on as well. facelick
