I mean everything near the vagina between the thighs as well as the front. The normal wax she's using for her legs and arms is a cold wax. but it doesn't seems to work. We are looking for any suggetions of good brands. We are not rich people, so if we can find it from Wal-mart that would be great. Please let us know the brand name, price and some idea about a place that we can find it (online or a shop) (Shaving is not a very good option, coz it itches when its growing back) Thanks in advance |

It costs anywhere from USD 50 to USD 75 just for the bikini area, but the effect is wonderful. She is not able to do the same at home. Hope this helps. |

I went last week ... it's expensive ($80), but those girls know what they're doing! Then, she and you can take care of it when it grows back in lightly. If there is a Sally's near you, they have something called "gi-gi's hard wax." You can probably find it on the 'net, too. They may have a microwavable version ... we have a wax heater we use. The wax is around $10-15, I think, and lasts a very long time. They have something called honey wax, which is similar to what she's using for her legs. The hard wax you don't have to use the strips ... it peels off. Again, I highly encourage her to go to the salon first, so she can see how it's done properly. And don't be shy about going with her and holding her hand ... maybe you can do the touch ups for her. I bet she'll give you a big tip ... ![]() |

I've done them both (and yes I am a guy ).The biggest problem I have found is that almost NO salons will do this for men. I'm at the point where I've had to resort to using tweezers to pluck them individually. Takes longer but works better than any at-home wax I've tried. Bufferoo |

Anyway If I call these places how do I ask about it. Sorry, for my ignorent question. But I dont know much about it. if I ask them "Hi, Can I get the bikini are waxed from ur saloon? how much will it cost?" When I say bikini area, does it include everything, even the hair between thighs? ------------------------------------- So this "gi-gi"'s hard wax is safe to use near the genital ares? because most the waxes I found in the net says not to use near genital areas. Once again thanks for the replies..... Last edited by zen : 10-19-2006 at 01:18 PM. |

It's the same stuff they use in the salons. Regular wax (or the honey wax or cold wax) is not recommended to use ... it would hurt like hell, and all the hair may not come out. Like I said, I know Sally's Hair products sells it; I've seen it for sale on the internet: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/AS...c-20/ref=nosim (and this is what we use since we have a warmer: http://www.amazon.com/GIGI-Brazillia...dp/B0002XI30Y). What she wants is a brazillian wax. So if you call a salon that does hair removal, ask if they do brazillians. Some do all but the top part (they call it a landing strip) why, I'm not sure. Also -- the wax in the warmer stays at an even temperature, where the microwave stuff has to be rewarmed on occassion -- just an FYI. Good luck! P.S. At the place I go do, all the technicians do the women, but only the owner will do a male brazillian. We've used the hard wax on him too, with "pretty good" results -- we trimmed his hair a little too short, so next time we'll know ... ![]() |

It can be tough if you live in a small town that does not offer these services. I like to keep up with the hair after having a professional do the initial waxing. I actually like to go on the other end of the spectrum and use Nair. I have never had a problem using it. But take care not to get it on sensitive areas, which can happen if you aren't careful. I have never gotten ingrown hairs and you can buy it at wal-mart.
