| Here to Stay | Anyone out there have any experience with laser hair removal? Both of us are in the process of having some removed from various places (yes, 100% from both of our genital areas). We expected to see this discussed quite a bit on this setion of the site, but it doesn't seem to be? It's kinda a funny process; after the first treatment (and more so after following treatments) we both looked mangy; some 'patches' were gone immediately. Everywhere the hair is thinner and razer burn has dropped off significantly! It takes quite a few treatments over a couple years, but about 6 months into it, we seem to be getting what we went for (baby smooth where we wanted it!) |

| Here to Stay | Hmm, I forget the process name. I did some homework before starting, but forget much of the details (its been a few months...). There are ALOT of different lasers being used; obviously newest technologies are better. We are going to American Laser Center (they have offices everywhere). If you have questions, feel free to IM or contact us directly; we are very happy with how everything has gone thus far and would certainly be willing to provide you with some details / info. on our experience. |

I got an extended bikini done, which means, I got rid of the hair on the bikini line and the hair on the bottom half of my crotch. So no hair on the lips, which makes it nice for oral and intercourse. Wanted to keep some hair up top, a snatch patch I suppose! It wasn't cheap, but it will last forever. It does hurt though! Way more than waxing. It doesn't work on blonde hair, or gray hair. Also, if you have very dark skin, it doesn't work well either. You need a big contrast between skin color and hair color for it to work. Good luck! My hubby was VERY HAPPY with the results! ![]() |

| Doing it our way... | What kind of skin reaction did any of you experience? I've looked into it a bit - shaving just about kills me with the severe razor burn, my little Seiko personal shaver takes forever, and I am not thrilled with stubble while waiting for the reaction to die down enough to shave again. I'd hate to start and find out that it's pretty darn painful or get a big reaction. Thanks for your observations.

Now that we've decided to give swinging a break and focus on just the two of us... Sure. My laser hair removal treatment (third for this area and armpits) was on Tuesday, October 17th, 2006 at 9:30 am. The procedure was so painful I became nauseous. It was intensely more painful than any subsequent treatments. I was in pain all that day and all night. The skin was welted and swollen and felt extremely tender and deeply bruised. The following morning, I went in to the clinic to talk with them about what went wrong - which is what their paperwork said I should do. I thought that their machine had malfunctioned or the technician turned the setting up too high. This is the first time I had ever been treated by this particular technician and some of her procedures were very odd. The office manager I spoke with apologized and said that I should heal within two weeks and that if I didn't to give them a call back. Two weeks? Jesus. That night I discovered blisters - some of which were already open and weeping. Fearing secondary infection, I went to the doctor the following morning as soon as I could get in. (10:15 am) The doctor prescribed Lidocaine for pain and topical Silver Sulfadiazine, an antibiotic burn cream. At that time, there were six prominent individual burns that looked like someone had put cigarettes out on my outer labia. However, more blisters continued to develop and that evening Mr. Funcpl counted 17 in all. On my way back from the docs, I stopped at "the clinic" again. I again spoke with the office manager, actually showed her the burns and told her I wanted my money back. She said she'd need to speak with "whomever" to see what the clinic would do. The owner of "the clinic", Dani "Somebody", called me the following day and tried to tell me that this is sometimes normal and that it would heal and to come back for the rest of my three appointments. I think NOT. No one in their right mind would purposefully subject themselves to this type of treatment or risk it happening again. I again asked her to refund my money and she said "she just couldn't do that." I let her know that defending herself in court was going to cost a lot more than the $2,699.33 I wanted back. Nowhere in their paperwork that I signed or anywhere on their advertising or website does it say that second degree burns are a possible side effect. They say this procedure is COMPLETELY SAFE, especially for somebody with my skin type and hair color - very dark hair and light skin (no tan whatsoever.) Somebody screwed up somewhere. If you live near Portland Oregon and are thinking of this procedure, PM me and I'll let you know who NOT to see. Yes, I took pictures. No, you can't see them. Yes, I have contacted an attorney. Will keep you posted. What next? Somewhere the Karma Gods are laughing...that's all that's left to do at this point in our lives! LOL Ah, the irony! Mrs. Funcpl |

April was 100% hair free for several years. Now gets about 12 or so stragglers, lol. Caffene, hormones, lots of things can change the growth. |
