Default To beard or not to beard

Hi,

Maybe this has already been polled or discussed, if so please feel free to direct us as we're quite new to this board.

Bud has an almost-beard. Some might call it Designer-Stubble.

He doesn't like to grow a full beard, but a beard of sorts just suits him.

On the very rare occasion he's shaved almost everyone (including those nearest and dearest to him - who he trusts implicitly) encourages him to grow again.

What's the opinions of the lady board members/swinging community to beards?

Would you be offput to find the other guy had a beard?

I like beards on men as long as they are trimmed and clean. I don't like the ZZ Top look though.

Like almost everything else it's a matter of taste. Mrs. 2lookin likes beards on some men, not as much on others. She also prefers, clipped and trimmed, but it's never been a "make or break" issue where playing is concerned.

It's funny but I always said I would never marry a man with facial hair.....words my mother throws back at me every now and again with great amusement. My husband has a goatee and if he ever shaved it off I think he wouldn't look as good as he does now. Go figure.

Normally I don't like a lot of facial hair, but I try to look past it ..if you will... and give the guy a chance before I run off to the first smooth faced man I can find.

I prefer cleanshaven, but don't mind facial hair at all. I am a sucker for a goatee.

I hate stubble. It scratches all the wrong places.

I had a beard when we first started swinging, and had it again at some point.

For the most part, women who didn't mind/liked the beard are fine with me being shaven.
Women who didn't like the beard like me better shaven.

So while the beard wasn't a + it was sometimes a negative.

I dunno. I change my look every few years. I've had this van dyke for the past couple of years. Before that, I was clean-shaven. Before that, full beard .. but the moustache I've had ever since I could grow one.

I like having a beard. It grows fast, it grows full, it's soft. Clean-shaven, I end up with sandpaper face in half a day and I can't shave but every two days due to sensitive skin .. which is why I'd rather have it grow.

The only drawback is that there's an awful lot of salt there now, and I dread the day it overtakes the pepper!

I'm with you Lumina...I am a sucker for a goatee, too! My husband has one and I think it's sexy as hell! When he's clean shaven he looks so young, and a full beard, at least on him, seems ungroomed, but a goatee...Yummy!

I find male facial hair in any form unattractive. I don't like the way it feels or looks and have a hard time feeling any sort of sexual attraction to a bearded guy. I have played with a few unshaven men but refuse to kiss them or allow them to perform oral on me. Its not a deal breaker but it is close.

Always clean shaven for me...prefer the look and the feel. A bald head is even better it can be used in so many wonderfully sexy ways...

Im in the vast minority. I think stubble and groomed beards (short), ESPECIALLY on men with dark hair, are incredibly sexy. To say the least lol. I'm also in the minority in that I love chest hair. I love men, what can I say.

Actually, yes. I (Jan) have very sensitive skin, and facial hair reacts badly to me. I don't even consider men with beards/mustaches.

I'm surprised to see so many women with an aversion to male facial hair, some even with very strong aversions. Why, I wonder? Is it a visual thing? I saw comments like this in another thread about "who is more picky", and then found this poll thread.

Mr. Tybee has a trimmed beard and has had it most of his adult life. I think it looks great on him. It hasn't seemed to cause us any trouble in swinging, so far. We've never had anyone tell us they had a problem with his beard. His beard isn't mentioned in our profiles, but when we open up our private photos for people, they can see it. We've never had anybody run after they've seen our pics. Maybe we've just been lucky, so far. LOL

Vast minority? Wow, I hope not. So many men these days have groomed facial hair and it looks great on them. Look at how many athletes and popular musicians have it, and women swoon over them. Are they really going to turn down Tim McGraw for swinging, because of his goatee? I doubt it. Do women really prefer that shaved-chest look on men? I hate that look. I love to burrow my face against my husband's soft chest hair. Mmmm, I love a manly-man!

I don't mind facial hair if it's soft. In fact I like what you call 'Designer Stubble' on dark haired guys - the VERY HEAVY 5'O Clock Shadow. BUT it has to be soft. I remember the high school days of making out and coming home with an extremely RED roughed-up face! Just think what that same stubble will do to the soft skin of a pussy! OUCH!!
