Unhappy Women:Hair problems

I am a female and would consider myself hairy. I shave for my husband but it grows back so fast. My skin is sensitive and I get the little hair pimples and irritation if I shave to much and too frequently.
Has anyone gone through with the laser hair removal and how was it?
I am not saying I would remove it all but definitely along the inner thighs.
I also have a bit of hair in another area close by (back there) which my husband doesnt like either. Is this common in women too? How can I get ride of it? Shave? Laser?
Help!!!

I noticed that you are posting from Mexico... Are you Mexican/part Mexican? I ask because my honey's is part Mexican and part Syrian and his sister does have hair on her back where girls get lower back tattoos. From what I can tell, having hair there is common for mixed/colorful women.

I've never had a laser treatment, but have a friend whose legs have been lasered. She said it was mildly painful and took 10 treatments on each leg to be effective.

I wax. The more you wax, the finer the hair grows back. I personally don't have a problem with the waxing, for me, there's no pain. I guess natural childbirth will increase a woman's pain threshold without even realizing it.

Lasering is a great option but it can be pretty expensive and painful for some.

i used to have a problem with this too, although I don't have any ethnic heritage. My routine, and it does work for me, is to sit with a warm wet washcloth on that area for about 20 minutes, shave very carefully with plenty of shaving gel. Then I wash off with the washcloth, and use Dove deoderant all over that area. I make sure I leave that on for at least 30 minutes before showering and getting ready for play.

hope this helps!

I don't know a great deal about lasering, but I know two things: it's expensive, and it can be painful. I think I've heard it compared to getting a strong static shock or something like that. Can't quite remember. I actually called about it once and found out that having, for example, a basic bikini line done (probably doesn't include the undercarriage), you're looking at $700+. It works best, they told me, on people with very dark hair and very light skin, so, with my Morticia Addams-like skin and hair, I'd be a perfect candidate.

I'd consider having it done on pain-in-the-ass areas like the frontal bikini area and the underarms. I don't mind shaving my legs, but NOT my bikini line. HATE shaving. I've gone to using heavy-duty Nair cream, and it works pretty well.

I'm not sure if mdraught was referring to it or not, but I'm assuming the "back there" hair is probably located in the butt crack area. Sorry if this offends any of you men out there, but the women you play with in all their hairless glory are the product of many hours of shaving, plucking, waxing, melting and pruning...and the butt crack, sorry to say, is no exception.

mdraught, try Nair for any "bikini line related" areas. Works like a charm. Just be careful not to leave it on too long, or you'll get a burn. Not comfortable.

Laser works wonders.
Go for a consultation and see if your skin tone is OK.
Prices vary wildly.
Lasers vary as well. Ask about the lasers and don't go for an older model.
It is expensive but you can splurge on one treatment and see if it is something that you like.
There will be some stinging pain.

This place is great. They have offices in Texas which is close to you.
They are one of the cheapest places in the US and get lots of customers who fly in for treatment and still save money.

(I have no interest in this business. We have both gotten laser treatments there.)

I've been doing pulsed light laser for my bikini line- I was really sick of getting ingrown hairs. It does cost a lot, and I was also going to do my tush area- not a lot, but enough to annoy me, and why not?? Well, she did the bikini line, which I liken to being a rubberband snapped against your skin, and then she did my tush (yes, that part of the tush) and it hurt so badly I nearly cried!! The next month , on my way to my appt, I had such an anxiety attack about it that I made them refund my money for the bottom area. I am very happy with the results for my bikini line, though, and I have two treatments left!

I met a lady in the Carrabean, about 21 years old with a absolutely incredible build in jeans and full blouse. Anyway, we eventually went to my Hotel Room to have sex. She undressed and had hair all over her body almost covered about an inch long. This was the first time I had ever seen such hair on a woman or even a man.

We made love and I never missed a stroke. In fact, It was not even remotely a turn-off. My comment really is, What is the big deal? If a woman is attractive , and sexy, to me, it overcomes most of her so called physical distractions. A woman in the life style in my experience usually exudes all the ingredients for enjoyable sex. A woman's positive attitude and reaction usually makes for good sex for me anyway.

If you're thinking of having a "permanent" laser hair removal, first check up on whomever will do it.

Our (Mr&Mrs W's) dermatologist has both amused and shocked us with several stories of people who had that treatment botched, ranging from irritation and bleeding to third-degree burns.

Caveat emptor

Thanks for starting this thread. If I could do the laser I would do it in a heartbeat . I keep checking in and hoping they make some improvements on laser techniques for fair skinned women. It is frustrating that they can't do it for my skin and hair color. Just wondering if your husband does his own manscaping. (shaves or waxes his balls,or back side). I would think that he would relate better to our situation if he did and may not mind the extra hair once he has tried what we women go through.

thanks intuition for the nair advice..will try it this week

I don't know anything about laser hair removal......but I am a big fan of nair! Love the stuff....but make sure your skin isn't too sensitive as it can burn and doesn't work too well on really coarse hair, I've noticed. Also.....when I shave my bikini line and any "other" place down there...I use a hair conditioner as my shaving cream. I leave it on for a few min. and it really softens the hair and makes less bumps for me. Also, if you have really sensitive skin, make sure to use a new raser each time. I don't recommend those cheap plastic throw away kind......I think the venus works great.

If you like Nair, try Veet. It works faster than Nair, it's a thinner more spreadable lotion, it stinks less, and causes less irritation (on my skin anyway). Nair burned my skin and took a long time to do an incomplete job.

Happypeople........thanks for the tip.......I'll have to try that. I love my nair, but I do hate the way it smells...yuck. Has anyone tried that bladeless hair removal? Looks like a razor but its not......is that veet? I'm confused.......haha.

Veet does make a bladeless shaver to go with the lotion but I just use a wash cloth, it's faster.
