What to expect from breast implants.

I think I might bite the bullet and get implants.

I'm an A cup now. *sigh* I've recently lost s'more weight, (down to 122# ), but the girls are shrinking right before my eyes because of it. I'm also 33 now, and gravity is starting to introduce himself to me.

Small breasts + gravity + two breast feeders= Funky titties.

I want to know:

-How bad will it hurt? I'd like honest answers and not the war stories my girlfriends have spun- so they could get more pain meds and not have to do housework/dishes/cook.

-How long does the discomfort last?

-What was your down time after getting them?

-Over or under the muscle, which do you suggest?

-How do they feel? (to have them or to feel someone's)

-Any problems from having them?

-Silicone or saline?

-Are you happy with your/your wife's implants?

-Look at my profile pic What size would you suggest? I'm thinking a small C cup.

I gotta agree with Lee on this. I wouldn't change a thing. If you do anything, I don't think I would go to a C. Gravity will return with a vengence. You would see the "rock in a sock" syndrome.

Ves, I have to agree with this as well. Though there are probably many people here who have augmented theirs who can give you the plus side. Based on my experience (probably considered limited by most here--I don't swing yet, just based on before marriage dating) I haven't seen implants that I thought were an improvement on natural. I don't like the feel of them as much, and in a lot of cases they just don't look right. There was a thread here a while ago with a link to a quiz where you had to guess real or fake with twenty or so pairs of breasts. I think I got all but one correct. You know, I suppose it depends on who does the surgery too. But in the end, it's all about what makes you feel good. For me though, don't go changin'.

Why mess with a good thing? Your "girls" in your picture look great! My first wife was a D-cup. My second wife of 26 years is an A-cup. There is a huge sensitivity difference between the two and it's the whole package anyway-not just breasts that count. You seem like a very nice, level-headed, sensual person. Why mess with perfection?

None of us are answering your questions. I'm sure you'll do what you need to do, but Fem D and I agree with everyone who thinks your "girls" don't look like "ladies" yet.

Fem D has spoken of her desire to get a lift without the implants. Maybe that is an option for you too.

But...you look "swell" to us.

I'll answer your questions, Ves.

As far as pain, I never had any real "pain". I took the pain meds the first day, but it was Tylenol after that. I would describe it as moderate discomfort. Very tight feeling.

I couldn't lift anything over 5 pounds for 2 weeks. I drove on Day 6, went back to work on Day 10, went back to the gym at 2 weeks, but it was probably 2 months before I was COMPLETELY back to normal.

Mine feel a little firmer than natural breasts, but definitely not hard. Kind of like a 17 year old girl's breasts. Haven't had a singe complaint yet.

No problems so far, and I'm about 20 months post.

I have cohesive gel silicones. The silicone is about the consistency of jello, and does not run when cut. Silicone feels more like true breast tissue than saline. But, silicone's not readily available in the US, so in order to get silicone, you have to qualify and agree to participate in a study. I am in a 10 year study.

I love them. I've only regretted having the surgery once (on day 4 post op...that was a bad day )

Most women go up 2 cup sizes, so I think going to a C would be fine. Just know, implanted breasts look smaller than real breasts of the same cup size. So, even though your breasts would fit in a C cup, they may look more like a B cup.

Well, Ves....Pepper and Drew seemed to answer your questions very well.
Afraid we aren't as much help: We have to agree with the rest.........You and the "girls" look great just the way you are!
But we will answer your "How do they feel question":
We've only felt two sets of implants. The first was a woman at the swing club and she was very open about her implants, and showing everyone where you could feel the actual implant (where it started and stopped). It wasn't sexy!
The second one wasn't that exciting either: I had read that implants don't heat at the same rate as the real body so they sometimes feel cooler than the rest of the person. I didn't believe that when I read it, but after feeling the second set: It's true. It was somewhat eerie for the breasts to be cooler than the rest of the body and they certainly didn't feel right at that point. I hope I don't offend anyone with implants: I'm just stating my (and hubby's) experience with them, however limited.
I used to want implants, and seriously thought about it, but I really think being small and natural is better. Would I like bigger boobs? Sure! But, this is what I've got.
Anyway, You look fantastic! Wouldn't change a single thing!

Hey, I'm not going to say don't do it, if it's going to make you feel better about yourself in the end, because the cosmetic surgery wishlist for me is getting longer every year! I've got nothing against it. It just means that if you get it between now and the Ontario Meet-Up next summer, you won't be able to ride the Drop Zone at Canada's Wonderland. It's NOT recommended for those with heart problems, pacemakers or IMPLANTS.
