Brazilian waxing

Has anyone ever had a brazilian done? I'm thinking of getting one done. I routinely wax my bikini line but hate shaving the rest of it off.

What should I expect while having it done?

I had it done ONCE.

It hurt like hell...


I don't mind waxing the bikini line, but a full kitty wax was waaay too painful for me.

I get it done from about Feb to Nov. It does hurt the first time-the key is to trim to about 1/4 of an inch before you go.(& make sure it's someone you trust!!) It lasts quite a while & the maintenance doesn't hurt nearly as bad.

How do you even find a place that does it? It's not like you can look through the yellow pages and see "Brazilian waxes performed here" or can you?

We live in Atlanta and the spas who do Brazillians do advertise it. BTW - Sandy get's them occasionally and claims the pain is worse the first time and is worth the effort.

Like Bob & Sandy, where I live the salons advertise brazilian waxes in their adds.

I guess it's a matter of location.

I suppose it's the same everywhere but basically they practically wax you from your naval to the top of your ass crack...ouch

I have no interest in it but I've had the Mrs. scheduled once and somehow she got out of it.

They advertise for them in Ohio as well.

I had a bikini line wax done once where the girl just kept going and going, my legs were up in the air and spread this way and that way. I didn't want her going there at the time and now she's out of business unfortunately otherwise I'd go see her again.

Bikini line waxes hurt like heck all the time unless someone is doing it right. I find the smaller the strip the less the pain. They don't seen to advertise it around here cause God forbid that this province would get with the times, yeesh! So then I gotta phone around everywhere to find out who does it. Then you just never know if you're getting someone good or not

I can't imagine anyplace around here doing any such thing. There is a salon that does legs and backs but hasn't advertised anything else. I tried doing a search on the internet for some place in Grand Rapids that does them but came up with nothing. I'm sure GR is large enough to have one place that does them. Is there a websited that lets you plug in your zip code and it gives the closes places? That would make my search sooooooooo much easier :rollseyes

Vespertine is the search queen around here. I thought about asking her to help me research topics for my business. She seems to be able to find anything you ask...maybe with a little sweet talkin'...

I recently had a full Brazilian wax and it was incredible. As a male it's pretty hard to find someone to do it, but a search on the web will help you find who is good and who isn't. Mine wasn't very painful at all, which really suprised me. BTW, Brazilian's in general are getting very popular and for men is becoming a big thing.

Bring a bullet or a stick or something to bite 'cuz you're gonna need it. OMG, it was right up there on the pain scale with childbirth. I thought I would be missing chunks of flesh by the time she was done. Of course it was the first time in ages I'd had a waxing done at all, and normally a regular bikini wax isn't too bad. But this is a little different. Certain parts of the female genitalia - parts that are not accustomed to having the hair yanked out with hot wax - are MUCH more sensitive than others. If you want to know the difference, try getting out a pair of tweezers and tweeze different areas. You'll see what I mean. Although once it was done, it was great!
