Uncircumcised

Has anyone noticed which ethnic group tends not to be uncut the most. My partner and I find that more african american men and italian men or uncut more often than caucasion men. Anyone else have a take on this ?

I think it depends where you live.

When I lived in New England, I never EVER saw an uncircumcised penis. When I moved down to South Florida, there are a lot of people from different cultures and I've noticed that most Latinos and Europeans are usually uncircumcised.

We are actually very suprised to see the stats..
The biggest group are white males! But in Amerika it seems normal to be circumsized at birth. How come? Cause it isnt a protestant or catholic (or other typical white religion) practise.
In Europe medical circumsision usually only practised when really nescissary (god I hate that word) :S...

It's wierd, in Africa circumcision is a ritual performed to welcome young boys into manhood (at around 10-12 years old... RIGHT, manhood). For Jews it's a religious thing. In the US most people do it because it is the way they like it. Many medical journals have published papers concluding that as long as you wash frequently, there is no benefit to circumcision...

Yet the practice continues. And if you like it that way there is no reason not to, well, except maybe the pain, some people even go as far as calling it abuse (I'm not one of them, I think).

Under white(caucasion/european/whatever is PC) africans though, circumcision is not a big thing. I can honestly say I've never seen a circumcised white guy, heard of only one and wouldn't ever consider it for my child.

It's really amazing how much our lives are influenced by our past...

Amazingly enough I stumbled onto it by accident 5 minutes before opening this thread... Circumcision is a hot topic, almost a religion in it's own, but not... Now please don't stone me, it's a lighthearted simile, NOT inteded to be inflammatory wording...
