Sometimes newbies are fun!

So, we tend to play with experienced couples more often than not. Since about 99% of our playing is done at the club, and most of the couples there are experienced, it just works out that way, and we like it, because there's less of a chance for "problems" (for lack of a better word).
Now, occasionally we will strike up a conversation with a couple that is new to swinging. They're usually the ones in the corner at the club looking very overwhelmed, but excited.
It's fun to be able to answer all those questions and concerns we all had when we started (some of the better answers we've found right here on this board). I do a lot of mentoring in the work life, and it is very similar to helping a new couple figure their way through the jungle swinging can make in your mind.
Over the last couple of years, there have been some new couples that we knew were ready to jump in and go for it. Maybe it was the questions they asked, the way they interacted with each other, or something else (probably a combination of things), but you just know.
So, we've played with them, and had a blast doing it. There is something fun about knowing you were someone's "first". You got to be the couple that helped make it possible for them to say "Wow! We did it!". There's a lot of satisfaction in that for us.
While we continue to focus on playing with experienced couples, we still keep our eye out for "newbies with potential".
Hey, my first blog entry. I busted my cherry!

| | "Newbies with potential", I like that... I wonder if that's how J and I would be prercieved if we were to meet a cpl out. I understand that watching a spouse with another can be devastating at first, and that I have to watch through that to get to the good, but any other advice you have, would be appreciated!!! |

| | Good looking out! There are couples in the Lifestyle who range from shying away from 'newbies' to being just plain rude to them. Isn't it convienent how they managed to forget that they were 'newbies' at one time..? |

| | It's that way in life. Some people just have to treat people the way they were treated. Instead, we should all try to treat people the way we'd have enjoyed being treated. |
